Friday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” pollster Frank Luntz issued a stark warning over the upcoming July 4 weekend.
According to Luntz, “we are 13 days away from an absolute explosion on inflation” because people are going to realize just how expensive groceries and gas have become.

He’s referring to political fallout. When people go out and buy their 4th of July cookout items they’ll get sticker shock.

I saw this video earlier. It doesn’t take an expert to say what he’s saying. He’s laying out the logic.

Unless some report comes out on that day, maybe he’s thinking that it’s the day before a 4-day weekend for a lot of people (many will have Friday and Monday off).

June 30 is the end of the fiscal year. Lots of budgets are going to have to be adjusted for inflation. I won’t call it an explosion but a lot of accounting offices will be busy for much of July.

Really? He thinks people don’t go to the grocery store every week? We haven’t already noticed the prices? Lately, we’ve looked gas prices in the neighborhood every day. We don’t buy every day, but we look, just to see if it’s getting worse, or getting better. And lately, it’s keeps getting worse.
