Prince William quietly wrote to the girlfriend of Capitol riot cop Brian Sicknick who died from a stroke a day after the insurrection last year, offering his condolences and praising him for 'upholding democracy'.
Sicknick's death has been the subject of ferocious political debate. Democrats blamed the rioters for his death and in the immediate aftermath of the riot, it was claimed he died as the result of being hit over the head with a fire extinguisher.
A medical examiner last year ruled that he died of natural causes brought on by two massive strokes, but they could not prove whether the strokes were the result of any injury he suffered in the riot. Sicknick's family say they are convinced the strokes were caused by him being pepper-sprayed.

“Upholding Democracy” God I hate that phrase.
I think he just dislikes Trump (and probably Trump supporters by association) because of crude comments Trump made about his mother Diana way back when.
Did they arrest the guy who threw the fire extinguisher? In the video I saw two guys apparently together, one threw the fire extinguisher and the other pushed a cop over the same wall.
They did not look like Trump people to me.
I read some of the comments on the UK Daily Mail. The comments there also lean toward, stay out of politics! I can only agree!
If William really wants to go in depth on the topic, he should examine whether voting and ballot irregularities and fraud in five keys states which were not adequately investigated helps to “uphold democracy.” Better yet, stay out of politics as he is supposed to do.

A typed letter, no letterhead, presented to the world by the girlfriend just yesterday. Its completely out-of-character for the Royal Family, and nonsensical for the Duke of Cambridge (William) send this - also 10 months after the fact.
this girlfriend may even believe its genuine - some hoaxer could have sent it to her. George Bush said a lot of stupid things on radio last month to some russian radio hosts, thinking he was talking to Zelensky.
We will see if there is a denial from William’s office.
