Poll: Biden disapproval hits new high as more Americans say they would vote for Trump

As inflation keeps rising and recession fears loom, a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll shows that Joe Biden is currently in the worst shape of his presidency.

The survey of 1,541 U.S. adults, which was conducted from June 10-13, found that if another presidential election were held today, more registered voters say they would cast ballots for Donald Trump (44%) than for Biden (42%) — even though the House Jan. 6 committee has spent the last week linking Trump to what it called a “seditious conspiracy” to overturn the 2020 election and laying the groundwork for possible criminal prosecution.

Since Biden took office, no previous Yahoo News/YouGov poll has shown him trailing Trump (though Biden’s most recent leads have been within the margin of error, like this one is for Trump). One year ago, Biden led Trump by 9 percentage points. In 2020, Biden won the White House by more than 7 million votes.

Yet Biden’s job approval rating has been atrophying for much of the last year, and the new survey shows that it has never been weaker. A full 56% of Americans now disapprove of the president’s performance — the highest share to date — while just 39% approve. Three weeks ago, those numbers were 53% and 42%, respectively.

On average, Biden’s job approval scores are now a few points worse than Trump’s were at the parallel stage of his presidency.

Among all Americans, Trump (43%) now has a higher personal favorability rating than Biden (40%) as well. Meanwhile, nearly two-thirds of independents (64%) have an unfavorable opinion of Biden, and just 28% say they would vote for him over Trump.

… According to the poll, 40% of registered voters (…) now say inflation is “the most important issue to you when thinking about this year’s election” — …

This is very good news, given that the media is doing the best it can to run interfere for Biden. But what about the guys who program the voting machines? Their preferences are the only ones that really matter.

Sorry for that bit of pessimism. But I’m not seeing any attempt by the GOP leadership to make the 2024 election fair. Do they just not care? And as for the 2020 election, see my tagline.

This inflation was planned by the Biden Administration from the gitgo. The problem is that there is currently very head room in the economy for wage increases to generate a classic price - wage inflationary spiral to offset the massive increased cost of goods and manufactured scarcity created by the Biden Admin policies. The head room for the wage increases was to be funded by the massive government spending in the Stimulus and Build Back Better boondoggles. BBB did not happen so what we are seeing now is the crushing effect of price increases on the American people but we are not seeing the economic ability to raise wages to try to keep up with inflation. Bidens killing of Trump era tariffs on Chinese goods is going to kill American manufacturers ability to raise prices on their products to pay employees increased wages. The falling dollar is going to make the price of imported products, especially raw materials (and even more especially -oil),much of which are no longer produce here in America abroad due to off shoring and Biden's destruction of our domestic Oil, Gas, Coal and energy production industry may well seal the deal seal on our perfect storm of economic destruction. Economic stagflation with serious constraints on our economic ability to raise wages to keep up with inflation is a very likely scenario for the near term future

Biden, polling slightly higher than a bucket of spit, but with a firm lead over cancer.

“But I’m not seeing any attempt by the GOP leadership to make the 2024 election fair. Do they just not care?”

They just do not care.

Whether they’re in power or not they still attend fancy dinners and are courted by the wealthy lobbyists. And when they’re not in power they can just relax.

Right now millions of voters are wishing there was a “seditious overthrow “ of the elections with just with the spiraling cost of fuel.

Of course Americans will not do anything like this unless their microwave quits working and price of fuel reaches 10 bucks a gallon. And then it will be some type of protest and a handful of people will show up UNARMED.

There’s always a big spread between what they’re admitting and the truth. The fact that they admit it at all is a desperate plea for relevance.

I share your pessimism.

These “Republicans” are the same ones who wanted Trump gone in 2020; they for darn sure haven’t changed their minds and aren’t gonna let him win in 2024, no matter how many of US do.

They’ll double down on the steal. Biden’s corpse will get 162 million votes.

And WE’LL still be called dangerous conspiracy theorists..
