A police officer in Naperville, Illinois, pulled over a driver for a minor traffic violation when another vehicle pulled up beside him traveling in the opposite direction, according to WSPY News. A man then got out of that stopped car and charged at the officer with a hatchet.
The officer had been on the scene for over 11 minutes, according to the Naperville Police Department. There’s no way he could have been expecting a man to attack him for no apparent reason.
The officer, a 22-year veteran of the NPD, promptly shot and killed the assailant. The deceased man was identified as 28-year-old Edward C. Samaan, of Naperville.
The officer’s body camera captured the frantic seconds when he opened fire. The NPD released the body and squad car camera footage of the officer-involved shooting earlier this month.

If that car hatchetman was riding wasn’t stolen, he definitely was not homeless. Appears he was one of Zer0’s sons (I stopped the video just as he was getting out of the car. His receding hairline showed lots of brown skin (it’s not racist to say that—just the facts ma’am!).
Not saying he was homeless. But the homeless around here carry all kinds of creative edged weapons. Screwdrivers are popular because they aren’t technically weapons. And you never know when one of them might go sideways. Best to be aware of your surroundings, and armed.
It’s interesting that he was dressed like a blm/antifa thug.

This also tells us you don’t need to carry an AR-15 to be dangerous. With a hatchet you have a semi-automatic acting weapon that strikes as fast as you can swing it. If you are good at ax throwing, it can have some range.
Yeah. Some of the tweekers st the local lake liked to spend the day throwing knives or hatchets at trees.
I was watching “America’s Got Talent” and they showed one pair throwing knives and axes with precision accuracy. In one part, they were blindfolded, throwing knives that would kill.
