The January 6 Committee hearings backfired on Thursday when a key witness against former President Donald Trump noted that Democrats, including Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), had attempted to block the certification of past election results.
Retired U.S. Judge J. Michael Luttig, a former appellate judge on the Fourth Circuit, and a respected conservative voice, was one of several legal experts who testified on the third day of public hearings.

Rules for thee, not for me?
Do as I say, not as I do?
Etc.
Party of slavery has long been the party of absolute my-house-has-no-mirrors-in-it hypocrisy.
Watch for those comments to be the lead story tonight on MSLSD!
oopsy
Just like when Coons went on Fox News and said he had NO issue with Schumer making a threat against Kavanaugh on the steps of the supreme court cause he was “Angry” well guess what..Trump was angry too but he never threatened anyone, does that mean he’s off the hook now
oops, sounds like constitutional mischief, but certainly no crime.
The pot is calling the kettle black. The thrid attempt to impeach President Trump will fail,in spite of creating a Kangaroo Kommission that refuses to avail its victims due process rights. Bannon will expose that pseudo “Virtue” when he contests the subpoena and his contempt order in court.
Meanwhile, the history is clear:
ut one witness, Greg Jacob, a former counsel to Pence, testified that the relevant phrase in the 12th Amendment was “inartfully worded,” which suggested room for Trump’s unusual interpretation and that of his legal adviser, John Eastman.
Luttig disagreed with Jacob, saying the 12th Amendment was clear. But he added that the precedent that Trump and Eastman had used was “historical,” not legal, because Democrats, including Raskin, had objected to past elections on the same basis.
“That was the centerpiece of the plan to overturn the 2020 election. It was the historical precedent, in the years, and with the vice presidents, I named, as Congressman Raskin understands well.”
?Jacob also noted that Democrats had tried to stop the certification of the Electoral College vote in 2000, 2004, and 2016. Among those was Raskin himself, who tried to reject Electoral College votes to declare Trump the winner in 2016.”
(From the thread article.)
Once again the Kangaroo Kommission is a laughing stock in its fabrication of a January 6th “rebellion.”Many of them are sitting on it who failed at fabricated impeachments 1 and 2.
BUahahahahahahahahahahaaha! A bunch of fascist whackos.
Bring on the red tsunami! MAGA baby! MAGA!
President Trump has been trolling these idjits for years and he still is.
Ask NOT for whom the prez Trolls.
He TROLLS for thee!
The Kangaroo Kommission is looking really bad as the nations economy tanks because of these idjits.
Bingo.
That explains why the media cut away ... see story on Lester Holt, telling viwers the network is cutting to golf.
What a fat, stupid, ugly pancake lady.
I have been saying this ALL ALONG!!!
liberals are STILL to THIS DAY saying that Al Gore beat W Bush!!!
Liberals were the ones that complained about the “VOTING MACHINES”!!!!! for over a DECADE@!!!!!
it’s only NOW the “big lie” because Republicans agreed!
The first rule of Congress Club is OrangeManBad!
The second rule of Congress Club is ORANGEMANBAD!!!
The rats are immune to charges of hypocrisy. They lack are incapable of shame.
Why didn’t Brietbart put that portion in the video posted?? Nothing in the video resembles the headline
They have a contract worth a billion. They had no choice but you knew that.
Wow did not know this from statement above in article.
“Jacob also noted that Democrats had tried to stop the certification of the Electoral College vote in 2000, 2004, and 2016. Among those was Raskin himself, who tried to reject Electoral College votes to declare Trump the winner in 2016.”
Question: What “Single Pristine Sentence in the 12th Amendment to the United States Constitution” is Retired U.S. Judge J. Michael Luttig referring to? Can someone please clear this up because the story does not say what he’s talking about. Thanks!
