After being dragged by disability advocates on social media on Monday, Lizzo has responded to her use of an “ableist” lyric.
Her statement comes after social media users nearly canceled her for the lyric: “Do you see this ----. I’m a sp-z.”
“It’s been brought to my attention that there are [sic] is a harmful word in my song ‘GRRRLS,'” the “Truth Hurts” songstress wrote on Twitter. “Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language. As a fat black woman in America, I’ve had many hurtful words used against me so I understand the power words can have (whether intentionally or in my case, unintentionally.)

Should she be cancelled for describing herself accurately? What if I called her a fat black female? I can’t keep up.
Best to tell such folks to “blow it out their ass”, or to “go piss up a rope”.
Or you can simply respon, “Well, that’s retarded”.
Who/what is Lizzo?
You can reliably gauge the character of a person by noting the importance of what blows their cool.
If somebody else can get your goat; that’s YOUR OWN damned fault for leaving it tied up out in the open.
Whoever can control your attitude can control YOU.
Lizzo popped up on our screen New Years Rockin Eve. We thought it was Abrams. She sings but I couldn’t understand a word.
