Despite speaking out and taking positions on all sorts of hot button issues, DeSantis never misspeaks. Each word he utters is capable of being defended, and he does it extraordinarily well.

Love to see him run in 2024! His position on Covid in particular is likely to be wildly popular by then as people look back on Covid-mania and wonder how most of the country managed to lose its mind. A guy who was willing to stand against the entire establishment, in open defiance, defend his position articulately, and be right.

That alone might be an election-winning issue.

“This man needs to be president”

Definitely my top choice.

I need him here in Florida right now. But if Trump don’t run in 2024 then he has to. Or let him run on the ticket as VP and then let him run in 2028. And if they continually impeach Trump every other week then he can take over. Of Trump runs and wins 2024 then they may chase him again for harassment and impeachment. Unless we still have the house and senate. Even then half the republicans will stab him in the back.

“I need him here in Florida right now.”

I’m glad California Republicans didn’t say that about Reagan.

“Despite speaking out and taking positions on all sorts of hot button issues, DeSantis never misspeaks. ”

Yes, it has been so exhausting having to explain Trumps lazy misstatements again and again. He undermined the MAGA agenda by giving ammunition to the left and the media, with careless gaffes and unprepared presentations. Just one example: He tried to wing it at Covid press conferences and then let Fauci step forward to contradict him. Totally bush league, no strategic message discipline.

If Desantis runs in 2024, I think we can all agree Trump would make a great Secretary of State. He kept us out of new wars and worked to secure our borders - and as Secretary of State those could be his top priorities. Meanwhile, Desantis can do the hiring and governing for the administration.

I want him as president. He would win by a great margin.

The counter-argument to that is "well, the left and media are going to distort anything anyone says", but that's a cop out. It's the equivalent of saying that what you say doesn't matter.

But it absolutely does. It's why allied Republicans stick by DeSantis, and it makes it much easier to keep suburban voters.

I srr Trump as secretary of state or in the cabinet dismantling every unnecessary department and downsizing the others.

Honestly, I can’t see Trump as being subordinate to anyone. When you’re in the cabinet, you have to advance the President’s agenda, not your own. And I really can’t see Trump deferring to anyone like that.

I love Trump but you are correct. His pattern of speech and sarcasm is impossible to see in the print press or when it is reported by news scum. Unfair but true.

He does need to be President. I hope he has good security, though, because I think a lot of leftists are afraid he will be President.

Last I saw Ron was doing a great job as Gov of Florida. Why does he have to call this stuff out. Where the hell is the RINOs in DC. Not a peep.

I would prefer DeSantis 2022 for Florida, then DeSantis 2028 for the USA, but I’m not sure which GOP individual would step in for 2024 if Trump doesn’t run, without being some GOPee loser sacrificial lamb for Biden’s commies, that is.
