Gas prices soared to a record high for the fourteenth consecutive day, reaching more than $5.00 per gallon, AAA data revealed Saturday.
Saturday was the first day AAA data showed gas prices over $5.00 per gallon. GasBuddy revealed Thursday that gas prices had reached $5.00.
The monumental number is bad news for President Joe Biden, who is trying to raise the price of gas to force citizens to use less fossil fuel, according to polling by the Trafalgar Group on May 29.
Gas prices are so high that memes have begun to pop up slamming the Democrats for the soaring costs. Perhaps fearing the power of memes, Big Tech has begun to fact check the memes:

If Trump comes back in and opens up the oil industry again,
these prices will go back down.
It’s the pressure of the U. S. having to get oil on the
foreign markets that is putting pressure on the supply of
oil, and therefore driving it up.
If we’re back self-sufficient, the global barrel price
will plummet in short order.
I am very leery that Biden may try to prevent that by
nationalizing the oil companies.

Anyone know the over/under on peak price per gallon? I’m going with $8.65. After that, there probably just won’t be any.

I’m seeing outlier but reasonably logical analyses that say it may hit $10 by the end of the summer. (Assuming the desired number is “national average price per gallon of regular gasoline”.) Most seem to say $7-9 but more is possible.

Guys, the price of gas is not Biden’s fault, it’s Congresses for refusing to pass laws that make price gouging illegal. Take it out on the Midterms and vote Democrat
