James Hartley Fri, June 10, 2022, 6:44 PM The 15-year-old girl who was taken from a Dallas Mavericks game in April and later found in an Oklahoma City hotel being prostituted had a passing interaction with a man suspected of being involved during the second quarter, according to a news release from the attorney representing the girl and her family.
During the second quarter of the Mavericks game at American Airlines Center in Dallas, the girl got up to go to the bathroom, according to the release. Surveillance video provided to the attorney with Fortenberry Firm PLLC showed the girl speak to a man on the concourse while they were passing each other and then rush to catch up with and follow him.
The man, who along with two others used a valid ticket to get into the American Airlines Center and then was escorted to a suite for which they did not have tickets by a former Dallas Mavericks employee, walked out of the building with the girl and spent about an hour walking around outside the center with her before leaving, according to the release. Zeke Fortenberry, who is representing the family, said in the release there is no evidence the man and girl had any prior communication.
The 15-year-old was found 10 days later at an Extended Stay America hotel where she was being prostituted, according to Fortenberry. His law firm said in a previous email to the American Airlines Center, Dallas police and the hotel that they failed the victim and her family.

Why aren’t kerr and popovich rushing to condemn the human sex trafficking of children at games. And this is all while the NBA hires armed guards to protect...something or other, probably just the coaches and players.
Trafficking like other slavery will always be and continue, until good men kill it, like slavery here. But one cannot just win a war like we did hete, the fight must continue and restart every week it rears up again, as it fid in jim crow south and north.
The Catholic church hadn’t rwally killed the problem and the world hasn’t either so it continues. The good men have too much yet to lose to do the right thing. So we just talj, like churches and governments and me...and the weaker suffer terribly.

Before it went down the memory hole, I read that this was not the first time she had run away from home.
Just that little bit makes a lot of this more understandable. She knew who to look for, or at least to look for someone, and willingly went with him.

There were several threads about this incident when it happened. I said from the very beginning this was not a kidnapping, that she went voluntarily.
I took a lot of heat from a lot of Karens here at FR but it seems I was right. But now, as then, this entire situation sickens me.
