James Hartley Fri, June 10, 2022, 6:44 PM The 15-year-old girl who was taken from a Dallas Mavericks game in April and later found in an Oklahoma City hotel being prostituted had a passing interaction with a man suspected of being involved during the second quarter, according to a news release from the attorney representing the girl and her family.
During the second quarter of the Mavericks game at American Airlines Center in Dallas, the girl got up to go to the bathroom, according to the release. Surveillance video provided to the attorney with Fortenberry Firm PLLC showed the girl speak to a man on the concourse while they were passing each other and then rush to catch up with and follow him.
The man, who along with two others used a valid ticket to get into the American Airlines Center and then was escorted to a suite for which they did not have tickets by a former Dallas Mavericks employee, walked out of the building with the girl and spent about an hour walking around outside the center with her before leaving, according to the release. Zeke Fortenberry, who is representing the family, said in the release there is no evidence the man and girl had any prior communication.
The 15-year-old was found 10 days later at an Extended Stay America hotel where she was being prostituted, according to Fortenberry. His law firm said in a previous email to the American Airlines Center, Dallas police and the hotel that they failed the victim and her family.

When this was initially posted comments here said there was more to it and this description does seem to confirm that.
It’s very strange.
I wonder why there’s no information as to what the man said to her, why she went with him, etc.
exactly!
WTH
Just ASK THE GIRL!!!
The predators are active online trolling for new victims.
Did online communications occur before this happened?
The only thing I can think of is that there are legal or investigatory reasons for withholding some information; though I don’t know what they would be.
But it would certainly be useful for the public to know.
He probably offered her a pizza.
That makes no sense.
Story says they went to a suite at the game, so it was likely someone who worked for the Mavericks who gave them access for $$$.
They likely told her, “Want to go to the VIP room?” Promised her she could meet players. Dealing with a kid, so there are any number of lies they’d try.
But note they aren’t putting that out to the public.
Also, her hometown is mostly white and all the perps are black. Another reason it’s being swept under the rug as it’s not good for the NBA to whore out white girls.
That’s what I was thinking. Offer the kid an opportunity to do selfies in a suite to post on tik-tok. Everyone knows that being impressive online beats stranger danger every time.
Why the walking around outside for an hour?
He probably gave her the recognition signal. I have a hard time believing that there wasn't any communication with someone beforehand.

And this is why women have historically been controlled by their men. If not, they will willingly go off with strange men and be protituted.
You’re kidding right? I mean, wth kind of thinking is that?
It is historical truth and happens in many parts of the world today. You are welcome to ignore it but your ignorance does not change this from being fact.
Women have been historically controlled by men due to men’s egos and fears. Protection and even leadership aren’t ‘control’.
Maybe it depends what part of the world you’re from.
I think it might be better said that this is why parents need to exercise some control over their children. Children are too trusting, and adults too unscrupulous.
Take it back to the Q thread.
