Cases of desertion are growing among Ukrainian forces suffering significant losses in Russia's artillery onslaught, report says

Ukraine is now facing "massive losses" with Russia overpowering Ukraine's ammunition and artillery store.

There has been a rise in desertion as morale declines, says an intelligence report seen by The Independent.

Up to 200 Ukrainian soldiers are killed every day, an aide to President Zelenskyy told the BBC on Friday, and there are now signs that Ukrainian fighters' morale is starting to buckle.

The report, says Kim Sengupta of The Independent, describes the spike in deaths as having "a seriously demoralizing effect on Ukrainian forces as well as a very real material effect; cases of desertion are growing every week."

Crucified? What are you talking about?
Gas prices? Electricity prices? Food prices?

That is almost all the globalist global warming agenda, not the globalists Ukraine agenda. If we let Putin have all of Ukraine, that won’t change anything in the US. Putin will still need to be “punished” by the globalist.

Objectively, the best solution for the US is a dead Putin. Don’t believe me? Game it out yourself.

There are people on FR that actively cheered the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.

Someone on FR tried to educate me last week by posting a link to a website that on June 5 was predicting the Russians would take Kiev in the summer of 2022. That is straight up delusional.

Russia doesn’t have a path to take another city in Ukraine over 100,000 people or move more than 50 miles from where they are now.

Russia is going to have a hard time holding on to what they have. I think the war was a miscalculation and Putin F’d up a good thing he has going.

Putin has more in common with Bush than he does with Trump.

You have a good memory.

Yes the Turks did try their best to end this early on.

Maybe they realized how bad the situation would be for the world economy, and Turkey is certainly suffering from poor economic conditions.

But London and Washington didn’t want Turkish peace efforts to be successful.

“How is Private Slovak relavent?”

Private Slovak was a malingerer. It was towards the end of the war and everyone knew it was going to end, so people were much less enthusiastic to continue attacking. Nobody wanted to be the last casualty of WWII. The army decided they needed to make a very public statement that yes, indeed, there is still a war and if you don’t follow orders you will be executed. So, the picked someone and thoroughly investigated to ensure he wasn’t related to anyone important. They tried him and executed him. The idea was this would encourage people to continue spending their lives and health following orders. I was thinking that someone in Ukraine might get the same idea and do some executing.

I think that any Ukrainian executions would go over much the same as private Slovak’s execution. As I recall, it didn’t play in the press the way the army wanted it to. (And, this was a time when they pretty much controlled what was said.) I think any person would have sympathy for people not wanting to die.

The newsflow turned in the last few weeks ..from claiming that ukraine is winning to pointing out massive losses on the Ukranian side...Zelensky still begging and pleading for western weapons and nato support. However territorial losses in the south and east are obvious....hen you have massive destruction of Ukranian civilian and military infrastructure. .....But they’re clinging on to the sinking ship because most ‘victories’ are on twitter. Winning.

...that’s why we need to stop supporting one side.

Ukraine is tryin to replace their military losses with mobilization... So they’re just sending their people to death without proper training. Can’t blame Ukrainian soldiers for deserting a sinking ship.

The globos have a single agenda: Burn it all down. They also have myriad means, among them war, resource strangulation, depopulation, currency destruction, division, fear, terror.....

There is no way to rank the means and one should not confuse means with end.

Ukraine could have led a very charmed existence on such large territory dominating the north coast of the Black Sea, with plenty of natural resources, militarily neutral but economically playing off and enjoying the benefits of trading with Russia AND the West, the cultural heritage, the fertile lands, the cultural and religious links with their neighbours, the aspirations of incorporating the best of the West etc... the sky was the limit

instead they chose ruin on the back of baseless Western promises while ignoring concrete Russian threats. Now they have massive deaths to mourn and a destroyed country.

It’s going to be very difficult for the Ukraianian leadership to do now what they need to do and be honest with the military and the citizens.....Ukraine cannot win this war.....and International leadership are telling Zelensky that at all levels.

What’s that term, for example, when soldiers are at the gate and want to bust through.. but when they fire a cannon (for example) its blast comes back and kills/maims/injures them instead?
(Also used for verbal petulance too)

Did you watch the “impeachment hearings”? You know, when Trump was impeached for looking under the rocks concealing the corrupt DC/Kiev oligarcharcial axis responsible for all of this? Put the blame where it belongs, the corrupt illegitimate regime in DC and it’s fellow travelers at Neocon GOP.

Ukraine went from ‘ we've re-taken the city of Severendontsk.... ‘ to: ‘ we've taken half ‘..... to” we will hold our positions .....to: ‘ we are losing ground and trying to slow the Russian advance back into the city ‘ ..........

This has been repeated in other areas as well until the military finally understanding this war is only one they cannot win....And Zelensky has to get back to the negotiating table and prepare for addressing the people of their country.

I know the Private Slovak story but
I think the connection is tenuous.

Maybe more relevant would be what the penalty for desertion is/should be if that’s where we’re going here.

Achieving a decisive military victory for Ukraine is all but impossible. For Russia it is probable, but with high cost of lives and treasure for both sides. ..... Russia is in a position to dictate terms resulting in significant and formal territorial acquisitions and assurances of the remaining Ukraine state staying out of NATO and the EU.

This is reality and Ukrain leadership needs to make that peace deal, to end the suffering. ..... Not doing so future deals available to Ukraine will be much less favorable. Most likely either Ukraine becoming a vassal state of Russia.

Ukraine can keep getting weapons supplied by the west, but Ukraine will run out of bodies to throw at Russia long before Russia does. When that approaches Ukraine will quickly collapse. It is best for both sides for that to not occur.

I won't disagree with that. I watched/tracked Victoria Nuland do her International tour in 2014 and then again this year to gain support for all we've seen occur in Ukraine.....this is just the continuation of what obama/Biden wanted to achieve in Ukraine.....putting Ukraine under US control.

Of course the carrot, when not strongarming Europe, was to topple Putin so. Russia resources would then open for the world to spread around....needless to say some very large companies would greatly benifit even more. Thus the Globalist cabal were also in this.

In the end Ukraine simply can't win this war.

"The putinbots that post these articles don't see this is Ukrainian government officials saying this to get sympathy and more help from the west."

I can understand you rage. It is natural to be upset when you have been lied to and then find out the truth. That $40 billion was never intended for the Ukrainians but to line the pockets of corporations and the grifting establishment.

The biggest clue that we are being lied to is that we are throwing $40 billion to fight a war to save Europe from Russia when Europe is still trading with Russia to the tune of $BILLIONS of dollars. It is such a glaringly obvious absurdity that I am amazed that the brain dead public doesn't understand it.

"this is Zhukov type war now. Line up every piece of Arty you have and just keep firing. The Ukies are just getting killed."

No school like the old school. If you cant win by throwing jabs then start using a club. Cruise missiles to take out Eurotrash arms shipments and massive artillery to pound the Ukrainians into red pudding.

It is not that we support Russia, it is that we know the Ukraine War is a war of distraction that also richly lines the pockets of those that abuse us. We take offense at having to deal with shallow minded fools who swallow propaganda like a fat man at a buffet. Truth hurts.

Once we put ISIS in range of our artillery, it was over. We had to re-=learn an old lesson: it’s the King of Battle for a reason.
