Maher: New York Times ‘Buried’ Attempted Murder of Kavanaugh
Breitbart ^ | 06/11/2022 | Pam Key

Comedian Bill Maher said Friday on HBO’s “Real Time” that The New York Times “buried” on page A20 the story about the attempted murder of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Mahar said, “OK, and they stopped him. OK? But he was, he’s from California, Chuck Schumer said some very inflammatory words, the kind of thing that people on the right to say and there’s a horrible shooting and they blame it is rather comparable. And Chuck Schumer did walk it back. Nobody on the right ever does that. He did. I saw this. He did. He said, ‘We’re from Brooklyn. We speak too strongly.’ He said something about how they were talking about. This guy was upset that Brett Kavanaugh is going to overturn Roe vs. Wade. OK? And, interesting, he was upset that he wasn’t doing enough to gun control and shows up with guns to kill him. So again, cuckoo people do cuckoo things. OK. The point is, I think your point, and the point I would agree with, is The New York Times buried this.

‘We’re from Brooklyn. We speak too strongly.’

Only people from Brooklyn think being from there is a badge of honor. 🙄

I was a bleeding heart liberal from the age of 12. I hated Ronald Reagan. But I'm a student of history, and when, one morning, I turned on the television, and saw Germans tearing down the Berlin Wall, a light bulb went off. That was my red pill, the moment I began my journey of re-evaluating every aspect of my political philosophy. I thought that if I could be so wrong about Ronald Reagan, I could be wrong about other things, too.

I credit my ability to allow the possibility that my entire political worldview might be wrong to my reading the year before of M. Scott Peck's book, The Road Less Travelled. One of Pecks' precepts for emotional (spiritual) growth is "Devotion to Truth".

I think the reason that people like Maher fail to use individual acts of enlightenment as opportunities to question their other beliefs is because they place their image -- how they are perceived by the mob -- above Truth.

“the kind of thing that people on the right to say“

Exactly when did a conservative do the equivalent of threatening a SC Justice by name on the steps of the court?

They haven’t ever to my recollection. I merely agreed with the headline sentence.
I don’t like Maher at all. He’s very trashy.

Who gave Maher the red pill? You know it’s bad when he comes out in favor of common sense and human dignity.

I still don't trust this guy

I guess he is more old school which is more for broadening your audience by not completely alienating more than half by always insulting them.

Yes, they did. For the same reason they buried the Holocaust.

Because they agree with it.

Well written. I’m visiting some Commie former neighbors this week and will expose them to a big piece of reality.
