Like the guy, he don’t play games.
At the same time, a little leery.
But kudos to him on this and other moves.

The member of the Bush family of grifters known as “W” made his first big money off fleecing the taxpayers over a stadium. That entire family has been ripping off taxpayers for generations.

“DeSantis gave a second reason for denying the state money for the private use of the Rays. “It’s also inappropriate to subsidize political activism of a private corporation,” he said.”

Governor DeSantis is doing right for Floridians.
You could say he’s knocking it out of the park.

No matter what the politics, the taxpayers should not be subsidizing pro sports. There are more effective and equitable ways to stimulate business, such as ending NIMBY and unneeded environmental barriers to development.

“I don’t support giving taxpayer dollars to professional sports stadiums, period,”

As James Madison once said, "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents."

“I don’t support giving taxpayer dollars to professional sports stadiums, period,” DeSantis said.

The owners are billionaires. They have assets and the ability to take out loans to finance the construction of new stadiums. If they can't do that, they should sell the team to somebody who can afford to build a new stadium.

Hey guys.. I loathe John Oliver just as much as the next guy. HOWEVER, his show on the public funding of Sport Stadiums is incredible and hysterical. Please watch if you have time. It is worth it:

Yup. that is definitely right on the mark. Let the millionaires build their own stadiums.

If Trump had been a governor first, I think we would have
seen things along these lines out of him also.

Good men stand out.
