It’s calculated based on the Jul-Sep inflation rate. I expect the government to report “unexpectedly” low inflation.

Dang we made a lot of dough in the hospitals during the last 2 years. Virtually unlimited over time, bonus pay for every extra shift, free parking (where it ain't usually free at all,) great raises, and lots and lots of free lunches, free gifts, including hats, sweaters, jackets, and little bennies which are impossible to enumerate.
Then by October 2021, the feasting ended, mandatory Vaxing was imposed, and thousands and thousands of us were terminated for non compliance. (Not me, I saw it coming and got out well over a year ago.) I do miss those paychecks.
