On Wednesday, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) pushed back against the notion that arming teachers would help prevent future mass school shootings.
“CNN Newsroom” host Jim Sciutto asked Hoyer about the value of the House passing symbolic gun legislation, knowing there would not be enough support in the Senate to get it passed into law.

Please, a LOCKED DOOR would have prevented what happened in Texas..... Don’t give me your crap.... A LOCKED DOOR....
What could have lessened it would have been a competent law enforcement response....

It works for courthouses and public buildings, like congress. They also say walls don’t work, like gated communities, prisons, fenced property, etc. Just saying it doesn’t make it true.

The Solution to Preventing School Shootings Is Easy, and Many Are Not Going to Like It

The demonKKKrats are keeping things as they are, to facilitate more school/mall/office etc etc etc “soft target” shootings, so public opinion can be more easily manipulated for firearm confiscation.

We see him around now and then - mostly at the grocery store - 2 black SUV’s wait outside for him.

gun control and fortifying schools are not the answer.
The problem is, how to get these psychos, the killers, off the street?????
We must learn how to identify them and then find a way to remove them from society.
Cause only cops should have guns. And when the shooting starts, the on scene cops wait for braver cops.
They want more kids dead to they can take guns from non-violent citizens and leave them in the hands of violent criminals.
Steny Hoyer needs to understand the White House and Congress ARE Armed Fortresseser. They’re protected by a police force the size of Atlanta’s with less than 1 % of the land of Atlanta.
If Hoyer would like to drop that massive protection in exchange for gun control laws that won’t work and ARE ALREADY IN PLACE IN DC - then she’s nuts.
With all the money we waste on public education - with kids who can’t read their diplomas - the least we can do is give kids and teachers an itty bitty little protection compared to Congress.

My family has been here for 400 years on one side, longer on the other, apparently. We know all about schoolhouse and schoolmarm security for 400 years. My ancestors had schoolmarms with muskets fighting off Indian attacks for hundreds of years, Them schoolteachers wuz armed and perfect marksmen, taught to shoot when they was 6 yearn` old. My mother could hit a moving rat at 20 yards with a 22 when she wuz 10 years old.. My greatgrandfather had donated to the town a schoolhouse, a one room school house, on his own property protected by a schoolmarm with a musket and relatives with muskets from marauding Algonkins and Iroquois from Canada for scores of years. The first school teachers in Massachusetts, New Netherlands, and New York State wuz the FIRST “school security experts”; they wuz ready to shoot to kill. You just do not negotiate with people who want to scalp you while you are still breathing. No way. They`n were not stupoid. Them renegade Iroquois would even cook you and eat you for dinner [documentation avail]. Apparently school security experts have completely forgotten the original firstie school security systems in America. It was fearless schoolmarms big dogs, a musket and a deadeye aim. People to be quite ignorant of American Education Security and its beginnings. Please tell educators and Congressmen/women go back and study early American school security. They might actually learn something. Apparently USA educators do not even know their history of American education. Viz.
200 years ago, near Saratoga, NY, 2 schoolmarms armed with muskets held off a band of Algonquin Indians, British allies, until the militia arrived. You can check the Saratoga, NY area archives. It`s a famous battle. Apparently US teachers have total amnesia concerning how to protect children from predators 2 legged or 4 legged. Schools had armed teachers already here over 200 years ago- nuthin` new.

Castles, fortresses, military bases, etc., have all been built to provide security for the people inside them. The people inside all of those have been armed in one way or another. People also put up fences, electrified gates, etc., and own guns to protect themselves, and what they own. If you don’t think that arming teachers would provide adequate protection for other teachers, and the students they spend a whole day with, then you’re a f-ing moron Steny Hoyer.

YES IT WILL (arming teachers that is). For the VERY RARE circumstance of a school attack.
It is the ONLY thing that has a chance of working.
When seconds count, the police are only MINUTES away. And then they “organize” for an hour (or MORE) before they do ANYTHING!
Meanwhile, the injured succumb to their injuries (slowly bleeding to death, scared to death, in some cases in excruciating pain while authorities “organize” and PREVENT others (like parents) who are willing to risk death to save their children.
An armed intruder is a surprise event. No time to wait for the coward police to do nothing.
THERE IS NO TIME! Your defense has to be faster and equally as lethal as the shooter.
BTW, A gun, locked in a teacher’s desk, and/or with a trigger lock, and ammunition locked up elsewhere shows the ridiculousness of “SAFE” gun procedures.
The gun must be holstered ON the teacher, READY for immediate use.
Armed security won’t work. ONE fat, old, retired “police officer” chatting up teachers in the teacher’s lounge, isn’t the answer.
AS MANY AS POSSIBLE teachers/faculty members MUST BE armed.
An armed teacher (OF COURSE WITH TRAINING) in EVERY classroom, would be my goal.
MORE GUNS, not less guns.
