“Protecting Our Kids Act”
Summary (IANAL)
Increases age from 18 to 21 to buy a semiautomatic centerfire rifle or shotgun with magazine capacity over 5 rounds. This includes purchase to give to an <21yo.
New magazines over 10 rounds banned. >10 round magazine buy-back enacted.
Defines "ghost guns" as frame/receiver not serialized by an FFL manufacturer/importer. 0% receiver "blank" is included by definition (intent matters). 3D printing explicitly included. Filament/resin may be included (court case). 30 months from enactment to comply. Ghost Gunner (converts 0-80% blank into receiver) illegal in 180 days. 1st violation misdemeanor, 2nd felony.
X-ray "undetectable" guns clarified & prohibited.
Safe storage required if minor or "ineligible to possess" can access. $500 fine & forfeiture. Felony if not stored safely, and accessed by minor/ineligible, and injury/death ensues. Applies to all guns. [Flatly violates Heller.]
Bump stocks added to NFA.

It should be called, the infringement on the constitutional right to keep and bear arms act.
Once again, the cutesy name of a bill is the exact opposite of what the bill actually does.

They still refuse to have armed gurads for these elementary schools and kindergarden. Yet the all have security in Congress who are toting hand guns and fully automatic weapons. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Unacceptable. I have a full size 1911 9mm. It uses 10 rd mags. I accidentally purchased a 1911 "compact" magazine. 9 rds. It isn't long enough to reach into the magazine well and latch. The Sig 365XL grip is similar. It wants the 12 rd mag. The 10 rd from the 365 isn't long enough to latch. I'm not parting with magazines that leave any of my firearms devoid of any usable mags. Similar BS with Glock 17 and 19.
BTW, you can't "buy back" something you never owned or sold.
Ironic that they want to protect the kids they are fighting like hell to keep from being born.

I read through the Bill briefly tonight, and one thing that I think is in there is that they are trying to label upper receivers for an AR as a weapon, meaning you need a transfer process for an upper. I’ll have to go back and reread it again, as I’m not sure that’s what it said, but I’m guessing that’s what they’re after.
0% lowers? So a truckload full of unprocessed bauxite is now needing to be registered with the ATF? Magazine buyback? Who bought magazines from the government. To hell with these jerks. Do not comply.
