BRUSSELS — Faced with the prospect that the war in Ukraine will be long and grinding, NATO countries are divided on how best to manage the next stage of the conflict and the uncertain period that promises to follow.
Central European members like Poland and the Baltic states want a total break with Moscow and an effort to bring Russia to its knees, two senior Western officials said. They worry that anything that Russia can present as a victory will do serious damage to European security.
But other nations believe that Russia cannot be easily subdued and that the war’s outcome is likely to be messy — more exhausting cease-fire than resounding victory. Countries like France, Germany and Turkey want to keep contacts with Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin

So there you have it, directly from the NY Times; NATO is divided. Joe Biden did this too.

The only ones brought to their knees are American drivers.

Translation, we got the 40 billion with all the fake videos. Time to admit they lost and give Russia the buffer they wanted to begin with. Suckers!

Ordinary Europeans will have to choose between towing the line and provoking Russia on behalf of the US State Dept. or buying abundant natural resources.
Seems like a no brainer.

Wow we are now entering an “uncertain stage”. Good to see at least we were previously in a certain stage. It was certain that tens of thousands would die; it was certain that at least 7 million people would become homeless refugees; it was certain that the Ukraine’s ability to produce food for themselves and other desperatly needy nations was greatly reduced.
In the new uncertain stage, even more people are dying, less food is being produced, gas prices are still rising, and the Biden administration are still the worst negotiators on the planet! The more things change, according to the headline, the more they seem the same!

On May 19, U.S. Senator and debt addict Mitch McConnell had a tantrum on Fox News blasting the 11 GOP senators who voted against the $40 billion Ukraine aid deal.
On May 20, Transportation Secretary Buttigieg proposed a Marshall Plan to rebuild Ukraine following their victory over the humiliated Russians.
And just like that, globalist dreams were shattered at Mariupol.
Both have memory holed the above statements and we're already on Plan B: don't talk about Ukraine and use Russian sanctions to accelerate deindustrialization of the US and EU.
To: JonPreston
There are still a few freepers who are certain that Russia will be crushed and the world made safe for the celebration of perversity.

US and EU will have to fund Ukraine with lavish checks forever! They are a failed state and in time they will run out of men to man the trenches. The Europeans see whats happening better than we do.

We’re at that uncertain stage where Alinsky is pinning medals on old men and young boys amid various cities’ rubble.

The same NY Times that assured us for 5 years that the Steele Dossier was genuine?

Faced with the prospect that the war in Ukraine will be long and grinding
btw, why would it be like that?
isn't that an admission that Russia can't win?
If Russia was actually winning then it would be over soon, right?
To: Lurkinanloomin
Of course, who is doubting this?
Russia is crap, they cannot win. Eventually they will have to give up!
BTW, Ukraine will get out of it a lot better.
