We met once, years ago, as the result of a shared passion for rock music and she introduced me to FR. Kind, funny and smart - she will be missed. Her instincts and view points were informed by a variety of backgrounds.
It's funny - I had been hemming and hawing about whether to say anything here and the longer I waited and didn't see anything, I decided I should do it.
Being that she lived in a different country, we didn't see each other hardly at all. I knew she was sick, but after almost a month went by without me speaking to her, I had a sinking feeling.
Anyway, if any of you were friends or friendly with her here, please know that she is at rest.
Thanks - TIUB
Sad news. RIP.
I’m dismayed to hear that. She was a fine contributor to FR. Thanks for letting us know.
What’s the best way to let people know you’ve passed on? Put a request in your will for somebody to log on and let everybody know? I don’t think I’ll be taking my iPad with me on the great journey. Besides, I don’t know if I could find a charger or a wifi hotspot at my destination.
Thank you. May she rest in peace 🕊️
RIP dear Freeper ...
Thank you for writing the note. It’s important. The Spirit is eternal.
RIP.
Thanks for posting, and condolences.
But a number of questions result from yours & other posts about passed FReepers:
>Is there a list of deceased FReepers?
>How does one demonstrate to Admin that a FReeper has passed?
>Are said FReepers honored in a separate page which links to their profiles and, consequently, to their echoes (past posts)?
>Do their profiles ever get updated by Admin as to their passing and/or date?
>If there is no affirmative answer to the prior questions, do all dead FReepers simply become lost to all except the few who bookmarked posts such as yours?
The latter would be a tragedy.
If this was discussed prior, I never saw the post.
Very sad. Rest in Peace.
Very sad. Not only a good FReeper lost, but one of the Canadians we DON’T want to lose - far too few good ones up here.
RIP ProudAmericaninCanada....or make that ProudAmericaninHeaven.
RIP.
She’s just a couple of years younger than I am. She will be missed. Rest in peace, PAiC!!
RIP.
Thanks. 😥
Very sorry to hear this.
Sorry to hear that. Our paths crossed here a number of times. She grew up near my old neighborhood in Chicago and some of her family attended the same Serbian Orthodox Church as my wife’s family.
Blazheni pokoj i vicnaja pamjat!
Sorry to hear that, and thanks for letting us know.
Don’t like seeing good people leave us.
Thanks for posting. She is at home now.
Awwww dang it. RIP.
That is very sad news. She passed way too young.
Thank you for letting us know.
