Phillips 66. Wanna bet the battery chargers will be connected to fuel powered generators?

And when junkies steal the copper wires from these chargers at 2AM...which is regularly happening today...what happens?

Funny thing is... That a gas station is an extremely dangerous place to put a EV charging station. If the two energy sources find each other the result will be a huge black cloud with steel melting flames.

Gas pumps are run by electricity. If the two energy sources find each other the result will be a huge black cloud with steel melting flames.

Gas pumps should all be manual.

Look up: Nuclear Diamond Batteries. (NDB)

We are about 5 to 10 years before EV’s have those. WHen that happens all non-NDB-powered electric cars will be worthless.

Hope they check first if the amperage is available at the proposed super charge site…

Gas pumps use electricity. But there are not huge batteries and massive power lines coming into the gas soaked ground under a gas station. If you put 5 to 10 charging station’s on a gas stations land they will be way in the back. And they will need the power of ten homes. 200 amps per charging station. It can easily be done safely. But there will need to be a lot of space between the two.

With gas you worry about fumes or leakage in the soil. With charging stations you worry about the build up of electrical fields. Charging stations either rely on large batteries for each station or they have direct access to large lines. Plus each EV drives in with a large battery under it. If in good condition everything is safe. If there has been damage through an accident or wear and tear then a chemical fire can start. Think of a 15 year old EV.

It only takes a spark to ignite the gas fumes. Charging stations are safer than the static charge generated during filling from the pump.

” But there are not huge batteries and massive power lines coming into the gas soaked ground under a gas station.”

EV charging stations do not have underground batteries.

The leading cause of vehicle fires is fuel system leaks.

“Look up: Nuclear Diamond Batteries.”

They’re not rechargeable. Are you claiming they have an energy density sufficient to power EVs for life? or low enough cost to swap them when they run out?

I find that hard to believe.

They are not really batteries. They are solid-state generators. They have a life span of decades or centuries, possibly longer. By 2025 you’ll see digital watches and cardiac pacemakers.

They continuously produce energy. Self-recharging batteries. Elon Musk became an investor in them a few weeks ago.

Below is a somewhat low tech article about them
