This has been a crazy spring, hasn’t it? We’re roasting-freezing-roasting-freezing and y’all haven’t had a real Spring.

We’ve been in roasting mode the past few days and will cool off to more normal temps for this time of year - - for a few days. Then the thermostat cranks up again next week.

I snuck out for a 15 minute session of doing nothing...I could have easily fallen asleep. Yesterday and today were intense, but we got checks done.

I go into the office tomorrow to print and mail them.

And momma duck came with babies today...still 6!

Good evening, Mooch...I see you haven’t melted yet! Is it still hot?

We ARE still HOT...73 right now, and still hot for maybe another week. And no rain is sight.

LOL! It’s easy to get dozy sitting in the sunshine. Feels so good unless it’s an inferno outside. The sunshine here was painfully warm this afternoon.

Bet that 15 minutes felt good and helped recharge the batteries after the intense two days. Why do holidays always seem to fall on pay weeks?

Seeing those adorable ducklings had to be a boost to the spirits. They are precious. I hope more mommas show up with their broods.

It smelled so good. I do need to go see if it has stopped so I can feed the kitties. They have no real shelter to keep their food from getting soggy. And some of them rarely come to the front “world” ie, porch. LOL!

It’s still thundering so hoping for more. I actually got a text from Mark letting me know that strong storms were on the way. That surprised me nearly as much as the rain did. LOL!

PS...still raining hard! I can’t put food out in the back, so will put as much as possible on the front porch where it’s fairly dry, just in case.

I’m so happy y’all FINALLY got some rain. It looks like there was a decent amount too! Did you stand at the door deeply inhaling the wonderful fragrance? :-)

Nice of Mark to give you a heads up.

I guess by now there’s food on the patio for the kitties. It looks like you’re finished with rain now.
I hope you had the rain gauge out. I’m curious as to how much you got.
