Well, history does not repeat - it rhymes. Now we see the beginnings of Ukraine being divided by Russia and Ukraine.
This is on the heels, just a few days ago, of reports that "Russian Lawmaker Says Poland Next In Line For ‘De-Nazification’", appearing in many FR threads.
Ooops, I mean:
Now we see the beginnings of Ukraine being divided by Russia and Poland.
Putin propoganda to further divide those supporting Ukraine.
Galicia has long historical ties to Poland.
Once Ukraine no longer suits the US deep-state’s purpose, it will be abandoned, and divided-up by regional players who will be left to manage the long-term, perpetual chaos as best they can
Just look at Syria, Libya, Iraq
That’s why the US deep-state / neocon mucking around in Ukraine for the last 20 years has been pure EVIL. By their fruits shall you know them.
NOT “taking it”…”TAKING IT BACK”.
But, realistically, not going to happen.
This leads to an interesting - though very unlikely - hypothetical. Poland takes western Ukraine, maybe after a sham plebiscite. A few years later what’s left of Ukraine attacks Poland to get their land back.
Does NATO come to Poland’s defense? Or would the West just be content to sell arms to both sides?
Poland had no love for Ukraine during WWII. They didn’t even recognize their existence. I have an old newspaper that tells the story. So full of hate for Ukraine.
Just don’t ask them to change any lightbulbs
Next BIG STORY:
Ukraine annexes part of Russia ...
‘De-Nazification’ in Poland? That would seem a bit odd considering how many Poles were murdered by Nazis.
Poland wasn't being armed with offensive weapons by other European nations and running biolabs near the German border with deadly pathogens in them in 1939.
Germany didn't spell out its security concerns to Britain, France and the Soviets and seek to avoid a war with Poland as the Russians did in December with the US before this war began>
Enough of the lies. This war happened because we did everything we could, starting fomenting the Maidan revoluton in 2014, to make it happen. It's neoconism and globalism at its very worst and most dangerous.
Pretty sure this is on many Pole's minds, including some of the influential politicians, however an attempt to implement this will throw a monkey wrench in NATO's supposed "Defensive Only" Mandate and Restriction, so there's a lot of pressure to let this go.
We'll see what happens.
When Poland was reconstituted as a nation-state the original eastern boundary was the so called Curzon Line. The line roughly corresponded with the eastern extent of areas with a majority of Poles.
War broke out between Poland and the new Soviet Union. Poland was able to push its boundaries East including Galicia.
After the end of World War 2, the Soviet Union kept the parts of Poland it acquired from the Molotov-Ribbentropp Pact. So Galicia centered on Lvov/Lamberg is part of Ukraine.
What has happened is that the Poles and Ukrainians have almost completely set aside their own grievances to focus on Russia. The Poles are actually drawing down their own army's stocks to arm Ukraine with tanks, IFVs and self-propelled artillery.
You must believe everything Biden saya tpo.
What they don't remember is how Poland joined Hitler in seizing part of Czechoslovakia in 1938.
Poland recognizes the implications of allowing Russia to take Ukraine.
That’s why they are the second largest arms provider to Ukraine after the USA.
Over the last 800 years, for 600 of it the majority of Ukraine belonged to Poland.
A reasonable and just resolution of this problem would begin by recognizing that the “sacred borders of Ukraine”, at least in the West, were put in place by Stalin seizing territory from Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary in 1945.
These territories should be granted independence, and should be free to join the EU.
