““Armed carjacking”....and this “pregnant woman” was part of it...oh, and how do police know she is pregnant? Or a she? Maybe its a fat male...no...did not read”
I was just thinking the same thing. She did tell the police she was pregnant.
“even though she had shown that she was unarmed and told them that she was pregnant, according to a horrified witness.”
However I must wonder if the witness was just saying that. I have seen where witness (witness who do not trust or hate police officer) will lie about the police in my local area.
A lot of haters on FR are quick to side against the police. At least we should let a fair investigation take place before we start hating the police.
Exactly
[[Hale had warned that there was a gun in the car]]
Left out of the exerpt. Cops didn’t know if gun was actually in the car or on her. Criminal Perps aren’t exactly beacons of trustworthiness. Once again the perp runs when ordered to surrender. “She was scared” isn’t an excuse to ignore police commands, especially after telling cops there is a gun somewhere.
NOT ALL LIARS ARE CRIMINALs BUT ALL CRIMINALS ARE LIARS.
Cops: “Man, you let a trans nut shoot up a school full of kids and everyone says you were scared so you shoot an unarmed pregnant woman who was running away and they STILL give you crap. You can’t win!”
Difficult to believe that a woman or anyone was shot 5 times with a 9mm and is still alive. I know it happens, but very rarely. Even a strike to an arm or leg can be life threatening.
The mistake (perhaps) was in the information the cops had that it was an “armed carjacking”. Maybe the car thieves used a gun, it was correctly called in, and the police had to respond as though they were armed. Even if she had her hands up, the police are necessarily in “armed carjacking” mode and have to watch for the slightest movement like her possibly reaching into her pocket. In some states, in such a situation, the cops are required to fire on someone fleeing — again, because they’re dealing with an “armed carjacking”. The handgun in the car suggests that the info given to the cops was correct: it was an armed carjacking.

What ever happened to wait till the dust settles? There are some here that salivate waiting for a leftist anti-police story so they can show how anti-government they are. Virtue signaling works both ways.
Create a Fleeing Felon statute; declare the act of fleeing a felony, then shoot all who flee. Clean up the gene pool.

Neither is incarcerating nonviolent participants in a political protest for over a year without trial.
Comply - Don’t Die
See, I even made it rhyme so you can use it in your next Rap “song”.

“Accepting CashApp Donations”
LOL...of course they are.
Payday!
Oh like a flat screen “desert”? 😃
No, you're cool! 😎
I would have to see all the evidence before jumping on the new FR/BLM hate a cop chapter. It’s easy to condemn based on early reports which are usually lacking all details.
Yep...that always seems to work well...
"Ex-Clinton campaign lawyer acquitted in Trump-'Russiagate' case"
I know. On a side note Biden recently said that a 9mm can blow a lung out of the body.
Oh well
Here’s an expert from RSMO 563.046.
. In effecting an arrest or in preventing an escape from custody, a law enforcement officer is justified in using deadly force only:
(1) When deadly force is authorized under other sections of this chapter; or
(2) When the officer reasonably believes that such use of deadly force is immediately necessary to effect the arrest or prevent an escape from custody and also reasonably believes that the person to be arrested:
(a) Has committed or attempted to commit a felony offense involving the infliction or threatened infliction of serious physical injury; or
(b) Is attempting to escape by use of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument; or
(c) May otherwise endanger life or inflict serious physical injury to the officer or others unless arrested without delay.
So, dependent on the facts the officers had at the time, force, including lethal force, may indeed be justified.
Way too soon to tell as most details are not available.
Lethal force laws in Missouri are quite reasonable, both for police and private persons.
If course, facts and law are often quickly tossed to the curb in these situations.
