It once was “till death do you part”

“Now. It’s just not worth it. It is not worth my time or money.”
And maybe you’re not as horny as you used to be. 😊
And I wouldn’t say you were “exploiting” the situation, as much as making a consensual transaction with a woman who knew what she was trading.
I think it’s a foolish transaction on her part, but its her choice. Her problem was that she did not value what’s between her legs as much as a man does.
Had she known that she would have negotiated for a lot more than a drink at a bar. Or maybe she was just as interested in what’s between your legs as you were of hers.
I’m sure women enjoy orgasm as much as men, and the advent of the pill freed them from worries about pregnancies. Thus they became much sluttier.
But the pill didn’t cure them of their other needs - the security that they get from a man that is committed to her, and the strong desire to be a mother and have a happy, stable family. And the sluttish behavior that the pill facilitated made these other needs and desires harder to achieve.
So, ironically, in many ways men gained more from the pill than women. But society as a whole may have been the loser.
You make a good point about single mothers perhaps not having enough intelligence to be successful.
It reminds me of the fact that most people who cohabitate before getting married stand a greater risk of getting divorced afterwards.
Why is this? Common sense tells us that a “trial marriage” in advance of the real thing will prove that a couple was meant to stay together. And if it doesn’t work out and they don’t get married, then no harm no foul.
When in fact the opposite is true. Married couples who do not shack up before marriage have greater moral values, and as a result have lower divorce rates.
Whatever that fiasco was it certainly wasn’t a marriage
“greater moral values.”
That isn’t even a reason the court would address
Was his last name Marx?
In the case of my first marriage I can tell you exactly what is wrong with cohabitateing before getting married. We settled our disagreements with makeup sex. We never hammered out our beliefs and expectations. Then after getting married and difficulties arose we had already squandered our honeymoon period befor the wedding.
Yep. Cohabitation is on the rise. Things go south. You move out. As simple as that.
May not be relevant to your situation. But the U.S. is a secular society. Things would be different if we are in a religious society like you see in the Middle East or Africa.
Notable exceptions? Insular societies in US such as the Amish and Mormons. But that does not apply to mainstream American culture. Just my .02
Maybe not in those words.
Hows about the one word “reason” the ex and I used in 1982: Incompatibility.
It was all very stupid. Really.
It’s also good for the soul when it works
Takes work though
I’ve seen near perfect marriages have bumps especially when old and mental chances start
My own folks after my dads Brain tumour
95% of that eight percent illegitimate kids were from blacks in 1968
Whites where around 2% then
Blacks twenty percent
Since then both have imploded
The results have been cataclysmic
Amd educated class white males are so damn soft
Money laundering.....hell I can think of crimes more destructive to family life Diana
Biggest threat to marriage used to be male infidelity

Feminism has exacerbated the less stellar side of flame personality to the point of pathological

And young marrying class men are so soft
When I was young socio economic status had no bearing on whether married except wedding and honeymoon extravagance
In 1975 most girls wanted marriage
Career had not the cachet as now
Men have jobs
I’ve paid a fortune for two over educated daughters who by early thirties were reproducing in marriage and quit work

I got an education. I got married for less than two months.
Well I guess according to my standard, you were rich and successful. For two months.
I love your tagline. But wouldn’t Donald Trump be the corporate version of Donald Trump? Or at least in years past. And if Donald Trump could move corporately to politically, can you imagine if Elon Musk ever made a move to become the POTUS?
It stunes my beeber.
.. No. I played the women. At the time I had money (not to brag but being tall and good looking didn’t hurt)and I knew they wanted it. I used it to my advantage. Leykis 101...
