It should go without saying that Liz Cheney isn’t Brian Kemp.
Although I can understand why her supporters are clinging to the thin reed of hope provided by Georgia this week.
Trump’s multiple losses in high-profile primaries have Cheney supporters in Wyoming convinced that he’s now a paper tiger. Trump-backed candidates have lost recently in Georgia, Nebraska, North Carolina and next door in Idaho. In Pennsylvania, his first choice in the Senate GOP primary exited the race after a scandal, and his second choice is mired in a recount…
[Local GOP leader] JOE MCGINLEY told Playbook that as a Cheney supporter, he’s been watching Trump’s losses pile up and learning some “lessons.”
“In some states, an endorsement helps, but it’s not the definitive action for the particular candidate,” he said. “Here in Wyoming, I would never bet against a Cheney.”
I would definitely bet against a Cheney in this case, even in Wyoming. The first key difference between her and Kemp is the nature of the states they represent. Georgia is 50/50 and Democrats have nominated a serious challenger for governor in Stacey Abrams. If Republicans there screwed around in the primaries and nominated a weak candidate like David Perdue, they might very well fumble away the state’s top office.
Whereas Wyoming is the most Republican state in America. Conservatives there can nominate anyone they like for any office with absolute certainty that they’ll retain that seat. There’s no incumbency advantage for Cheney as there was for Kemp.

I think it is an open primary.
Why these Republican states have open primaries is beyond me. Why even have political parties if Democrats can choose Republicans and vice-versa.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving moron!!!!
If she loses, maybe she can go [home] to VA where her hubby and kids live and run as a Dem in 2024.
Instead, she will likely make a run for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.
Out of 108 endorsements POTUS score 100 wins 6 losses & 2 run offs. Hardly a debacle, the writer is smoking something.
Late reporting metro areas…. 😂😂😂
.
I did a search from my Search Engine, Duck, Duck Go…on ‘Liz Cheney’
And this doesn’t come up on first page sorted for newest.
I did a search of News with the same results.
So, this story isn’t getting out folks, not even to people explicitly looking for it.
.
When it comes to Democrats, where there’s swill, there’s a
way.
.
Cheney loves Dem Corruption.
She doesn’t give a shit about the Constitution.
She supports the Coup when Trump is the target. She supports Recusal, when only Republicans Recuse.
She supports Royalty exemptions for Felonies when it’s the Biden, Bush, and Cheney fortunes.
.
Wyoming has an open primary. Despite her sliding poll numbers she has not moderated one bit. She is a outspoken and vile enemy of her own party. So she must be counting on the rats to cross over and put her back in. If there are multiple primary candidates maybe this is possible? That is how Flake and McTraitor did it in AZ.
serious question: does Mark Levin support Lez Cheney?
Let’s hope the RINOs burn a lot of money on Cheney.
People keep trotting that crossover nonsense out instead of doing a simple Google search.
WY has 209,000 Republicans, 51,000 Democrats, and 38,000 Unaffiliated. Do the math.
Nope. Kemp won with 73% of the vote.
About 7% of the voters in the GOP primary voted in the Democrat Primary in 2020.
But here’s the kicker on that, Trump was guaranteed to win in 2020. So we don’t even know how many of those 7% were REPUBLICANS who were messing with the Democrat Primary in 2020.
Regardless, Kemp won in a landslide, and no rational or sane person can suggest with a straight-face that it was because of crossover votes.
All of us here in Wyoming absolutely hate her. unless of course you’re in Jackson Hole or Laramie, where the University of Wyoming is. My concern is crossover votes. People here really need to get out and vote.
Oh they hate her, but see her as a useful idiot.
You have got to be kidding. Brian Kemp received over 73% of the vote. If you want to make an argument that Raffensperger would have been forced into a run-off, sure, but with Kemp complaining about open primaries is just pure cope.
Please God.....let her lose by 70 points!!
If the traitor Kemp is classified as a conservative, I’m mislabeled
Yep, watch for the Democrat crossover votes. They know the Democrat candidate does not have a chance. McConnell is probably in on the steal being that he is an assistant Democrat.
It is...the upside is that there are not enough Democrats in the state to make a difference unless the race is close. Right now it doesn’t appear to be.
Cheney’s only hope is splitting the opposition so she can win with a small plurality. Her allies could end up running ads promoting her other opponents to try to accomplish this.
