Security footage from Robb Elementary School in Texas shows that a back door was propped open by a teacher before Tuesday's deadly mass shooting, Texas law enforcement officials said.
At 11:27 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the door that police believe was used by the 18-year-old gunman to enter the school was propped open by a teacher, Director of Texas Department of Public Safety Steven McCraw said at a Friday press conference.
McCraw said the detail was confirmed through "video evidence."
After the gunman crashed his vehicle in a ditch just a minute later, the teacher ran to get a phone and walked back to the propped-open door.
Two men at a nearby funeral home heard the crash and went to the scene, only to find the gunman exit the vehicle. The men ran as they were shot at, but were not hit.
Through security footage inside the school, McGraw said the teacher panicked and called police at 11:30 a.m. to report the crash and gunman.
Eventually, at 11:33 a.m. the gunman entered the school through the door, barricaded himself inside a classroom and massacred 19 children and two adults.
McCraw said police who arrived at the scene were told by a commander not to engage with the shooter because they believed there was no more threat to children.

Not a big believer in coincidences and it seems odd the teacher had gone to her car at the same time the school resource officer was missing but able to get there in just two minutes, he couldn’t have been too far. Like maybe in the parking lot?
Doors are propped open for simple convenience.
Going to get your cell phone.
Why walk all the way around to the front when I can just prop it open for a minute?
“The story is that the door was propped open for the killer.”
With the deep state, who knows who the players are?
The fix is in...
The FBI is on the job...
Absolutely nothing of value will be a result of this “coverup” investigation...
The more things change, the more they stay the same...
The single result of the FBI investigation will be about “children” having access to guns, gun-loving MAGA types, the threat of domestic terrorism, the need for higher teacher pay, elimination of the 2nd Amendment, and the need for gun confiscation...
These typical yellow-bellied cops will be exonerated and the protesting parents, who caused the really serious part of this event, will be charged...
After all, those disruptive parents (clearly potential domestic terrorists) prevented the cops from getting their fair share of the donuts and coffee being served at the scene...
This would be a good time to make an anonymous tip to your local crime reporter for the tv station.
I can’t imagine there being a “cover-up” in this situation. The parents will demand real answers to real questions. They won’t be hoodwinked into silence.
Why prop? When you see the map or overhead pic of the place you notice that this door was the entrance from what had to be , a staff parking lot. The sidewalk and drive point straight to it. At the very least this door would have seen a lot of traffic at starting and quitting time. The main entrance was/is clear on the opposite side of the school.
So if a staffer needed something from a car during school the only way to get back in would be to brick the door. There’s no indication of a staffer still outside when the shooting started, so, at a minimum, we’ve got a halflazyass staffer who can’t remember to pick up his/her/its own brick.
All of this in the face of just having had a shooter drill in the previous two months. Maybe I have this part wrong but it seems the cops couldn’t get in thru this very same door?
“ Why walk all the way around to the front when I can just prop it open for a minute?”
Because they’re responsible for the security of the kids under their care - that’s why 🤪
When?
Wouldn’t people have heard the crash & gunshots?
Yes, she died.
No the door the cops couldn’t get in was the classroom door. There were 19 cops in the hallway. The Uvalde chief of police was in there and was the one who decided it was a barricade situation. The only shots at that time were at the door. It was a horrible decision and I can’t even imagine being that Chief. I heard that all the kids that called 911 got out.
It might just be that the teacher propped the door open to get a cross breeze through her classroom. Was she in 111 or 112?
failure of the perp’s doctor: boy, I’ll say. And that’s exactly why this bleephole was able to buy a gun. Docs have an absolute responsibility to flag mental head cases so they can’t do stuff like, oh, say get explosives licenses, fly airplanes, drive busses——. That’s where line “f” on the federal 4473 comes from. I guess it needs to be a requirement to get a doctor license: to be aware you have to document head cases. So the rest of us don’t have to kill them when we find them out the hard way.
Not sure...
But, a student said one of the teachers in that classroom got an email that a gunman was in the building. When she went to the (classroom?) door, the killer was already there, and he shot her.
For the record, I'm not blaming a teacher. Just incredulous the school was alerting teachers by email. Why not some kind of alarm system?
“This would be a good time to make an anonymous tip to your local crime reporter for the tv station.”
This was in the 80’s. But I have no doubt that if the same judge is still there the door is propped open.
Time, was the threat to the children. In TRIAGE, time is crucial.
Synchronicity works for evil purpose, as well as good.
People went in to gather the bodies.
Through buddies, I know about this Type of situation. Men couldn’t take a shot from tears in their eyes. Hard men, anguished.
It took time and therapy to lesson the memories and the pain.
(Using my Joe Kenda voice) My, my, my. You’d think that this was a set up.
