The initial reporting of this was unusual. IIRC, the first report of this crime said 2 people were killed. Some hours later we learned the extent of the crime.

I saw another thread on FR in which someone posted that the shooter had 90 minutes to do his killing. This sounds like a Parkland redux in which LE’s “sheltered in place”.

For more than 24 hours, I never heard anyone in the media discuss how long it took to take him out. Some clips I saw from pressers were not specific but seemed misleading that they moved in within minutes. In stead I think they used the word “responded”. I think they were doing damage control right from the beginning

They were ordered to let the killer do his job ?

40 minutes before anyone entered the building - problem number one.
Unlocked back school door - problem number two
screwed up kid with a drug addicted mother who had a live in boyfriend and his grandfather is a felon so he had no normal home life - problem number 3
School personnel knew he was cutting his face up, not showing up, and nothing was done - problem number 4.

I am sure that there were much stronger words used to motivate the cowards. They probably only went in out of shame. You would think with the fat pensions they get that they would be a bit braver.

Hey, the police don't wanna get hurt, so they wait until the perp exhausts all of their rounds, then go in.
It's not like police are there to stop crime. Remember, it's a “show of force.”

He wounded the school resource officer and two police officers right off, it appears. That made the rest hesitant, perhaps.

Sounds like they were ordered to stand down and let it happen. Why?

Problem 5: Kid had been bullied for years and the school personnel did *nothing*.

Onlookers didn’t charge in
Police don’t just run in. Not the way they’re trained
