Dem Sen. Chris Murphy: Do Not Arm School Personnel for Classroom Defense
Breitbart ^ | 05.25.2022 | AWR Hawkins

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) took to the Senate floor in the hours after the Robb Elementary School attack and made clear he does not support allowing school personnel to be armed for classroom defense.

“After delivering an impassioned and anguished plea to his colleagues calling for stricter gun control measures, Senator Chris Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut, objected against the idea of armed staff on sites like school grounds,” the New York Times reported on Tuesday.

Murphy tweeted: “As we look for solutions, this is important. Because over and over – from Parkland to El Paso to Dayton to Uvalde – armed personnel on site couldn’t stop mass shooters who only needed minutes for mass slaughter.”

Training and responsively arming school personnel is one of the better ideas. Driving progressivism out and putting God back will help. Rebuilding the nuclear family, hardening schools, locking up mental patients, outlawing shooter games would also help

even just putting up a sign that says all the teachers are armed will deter school shootings... even if the teachers are not.

let them choose.

Yep, this kid had a drug addicted mother with a live in boyfriend, no father around, a grandfather who is a felon, basically no normal stable home life. That's a problem.

The Democrat/Communists have a firm grip on the mental health of our young boys and men. The school systems
throughout the country are strong proponents of neutering the males in their classrooms with Ritalin and Adderall.

When will the country wake up and see that these murder sprees are caused by young men who have been on ADHD meds for years?

Murphy is part of the problem.
He wants these events to continue.

Damn baby-killing monster!

“addressing mental health issues”

That’s expensive. Deterrents and defenses are usually cheaper.

Many patients come in to a psychiatric hospital, get fixed up with medication, are released, and are back again because they don’t take the medication.

These folks are determined to make sure criminals always have the upper hand. Doesn’t matter the circumstance, as long as the bad guys reign supreme the left will always have a “crisis” to fix.

Blame it on Wavoka, the Piute. He is the one who got the Ghost Dance craze started.
It so terrified the settlers in the Dakotas that they had the Army come in for protection.

There is always more to it than what is published. Wavoka the Piute got the Ghost Dance started but it was the tribe’s belief in the “bullet proof” Ghost shirts that got the Army involved to protect the settlers.

Translation: Don’t let school security take down a perp.

One can imagine Murphy wants the perp to be somehow “caught” but certainly not harmed and thinks students should be fearful of their own armed security folks.

When everyone knows the vast majority of time the police only catch the criminal but only after the crime has already been committed.

Imagine if one adult in that room had the means to stop the shooter besides throwing books and crayons at them.

Public officials had to figure out by now, that the a-holes pick the most vulnerable targets for mass shooting. Posting "Gun Free Zone" signs then huddling under a desk is not sufficient for survival.

BTW Here's a coincidence. The Roe V Wade leak was 2 May. The two largest mass shootings this year occurred on 15 May and this week. Prior to that, the year 2022 was relatively "quiet".

Got into a campus that is security fenced. Had a security system and a secure visitor check in facility. Six armed security guards on site.

Shooter was confronted by one, who was apparently shot at. He was then confronted by two more. Literally no word about the other two officers, or the remaining three on site.

The door to the classroom was UNLOCKED during class (they were watching the Addams Family - talk about garbage time). Shooter enters classroom.

Cops on scene. Do not enter while shooter executes the kids and teacher in the classroom.

Off duty Border Patrol suits up, enters the facility, breaches the locked door somehow, and kills the shooter.

Parents outside begging the cops to breach. Parents try to enter themselves but are restrained by police.

So even with ARMED STAFF ON BOARD, this scumbag managed to get in and kill all those people.

Pass any law you want, this was ALLOWED to happen.

My son has clear instructions that if a shooter is in the building, break a window, do whatever to get out of the building and get away. Better to be shot trying to escape than on your knees.

What about 'emergency escape' drills at all public schools? A plan created by professionals... maybe some 'old school' FBI agents?

If windows can be an escape route - why not a small locked door only used in an emergency?

Automatic door locks that can be unlocked from inside - - triggered from the principals office?

A 'get out if you can' plan - followed by 'hide if you can't get out' plan - followed by 'fight if you must' plan...

Hardened schools, trainrd children and staff, upgraded technology... then deal with the psycho/social problems.. (and yeah I used the term 'psycho' on purpose.)

In the future we need to put OUR people first - our kids first - our citizens first - our economy first and our secure borders first... before Ukraine's...

I have been to Wounded Knee.
The cemetery there is up on a hill, and you can see forever up there.
The Sioux were massacred!
There was no place to hide for them.
It’s all prairie.

It is a heartbreaking scene to imagine.
A lonely desolate place, and it was unnecessary.

School shootings are sufficiently rare that it’s not clear to me that a full-time police contingent is necessary at every school. Surely there are some places where security should be a collateral duty.
