The only thing funny on TV worth watching is ‘Archer’
Maybe I'll work on my elevator pitch for the treatment...
everything is PC...
I think I’d prefer “a show about Nothing!”
Woke BS. As of we don’t have enough of it.
Video game movies are a terrible idea, IMO. The games have reached a point in which the graphics are pretty close to movie quality. Why watch a slowly paced movie version when you can be the “star” of the game and control what happens?
they have a new Anti-Nazi Vampire mini series in the works. Based on the critically acclaimed movie Bluberella. Check out this Awesome trailer.. https://youtu.be/faASWINSgJY
The Offer on Paramount + is pretty good.
Burn Gorman isn’t typecast in “The Offer” which has been a pleasant surprise (so far).
Glad for the review on Halo. thanks
“the show tells the story of a super soldier learning about himself and his connection with a magical rock that has some connection with the halo world that the Covenant want to activate.”
It’s been done....
I remember when people use to pay big bucks to watch 15 minutes of commercials every hour.
Then they fooled people into thinking they were getting a better deal by “bundling” multiple services.
The Halo game series fanbois’ don’t care yo. /s
It's called "Night Sky" it's about an older couple who find a doorway to other worlds buried beneath their backyard shed.
Great premise!
Starring Sissy Spacek and J K Simmons.
But the rest of the cast is loaded with diversity hires, they are great actors but it just keeps niggling at you that there seems to be a boatload of them...
The cast keeps expanding... they must have to haul the diversity hires in by the busload now...
I'm hooked and will keep watching but lordy...
If you think this was bad... did anyone catch season 2 of Start Trek - Picard?
If it is part a subscription service it has 'momentum' regardless of how garbage it is - ratings don't factor in, only subscriptions. Hence, why increasingly more and more stuff is mediocre junk. they make the same money even if it is awful.
Star Trek Strange New Worlds is good.
“Red vs. Blue” was the last good Halo TV series.
Okay...we have to accept there are varying levels of bad.
This is not Disney+ Marvel M-She-U bad, but it isn’t great.
On a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a 6.
You do have to flesh out the story a bit when it is based on a video game. Unlike some other recent shows, it isn’t a case of the women are awesome and the men suck. Yes, there is a lot of racial diversity, but at least they didn’t turn the Master Chief into a black woman or anything.
There is also no overwhelming LGBTQRSTUV going on.
It is what I call Saturday afternoon TV. Something to pass the time, but not at all awesome.
‘Halo’ uses a new looney lefty tactic that’s becoming very common, they introduce characters but don’t reveal that they’re half of a mixed race or homosexual couple until well later in the series.
Whether I object to mixed race or homosexual relationships isn’t the point, the point is it’s stealth indoctrination. They think they’re so damn clever that they can slip in a surreptitious sermon without you realizing you’re bring preached to.
I’ve seen the same tactic used recently in ‘Ozark’ and ‘Bosch Legacy.’ I’m sure it’s being used more widely than that but I can only tolerate so much Hollyweird.
If you’re going to proselytize, man up and admit you’re doing it, otherwise you can pound sand.
FTA: ...the show tells the story of a super soldier learning about himself and his connection with a magical rock that has some connection with the halo world that the Covenant want to activate.

You know the writer was drinking and taking magic mushrooms when he came up with that story line.
