President Joe Biden’s administration has slowly but steadily been creeping towards an escalation of United States involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Now, despite personal promises from Biden suggesting otherwise, U.S. officials say they are considering sending special operations forces into the Eastern European country to guard the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
In addition to deploying dozens of special forces troops, officials are evaluating also sending a Marine security guard detachment to the affected area.
The Wall Street Journal reported that discussions of U.S. military involvement in Ukraine are still preliminary and have yet to reach the president’s desk, but they are being framed as a likely possibility if officials believe the embassy is severely threatened as Kyiv takes Russian fire.
Biden has repeatedly pledged not to send any U.S. troops to Ukraine after polling suggested that most Americans are against it.

“Biden Administration’s Creep Towards War In Ukraine Escalates With More Troop Talk”
Why do this, Neocons, if Ukraine is winning?
They are already there, or else this talk would not be started.
War is, generally, good for an economy and he needs some kind of distraction. Anything!
The Deep State and New World Order is on the move. This is all planned.
It’s the econom\y stupid. Got to cover it up with something.....like a hot war with Russia. Ya, Americans hate Russians. That’ll work.......
Thanks for the link, excellent historical perspective.
If democrats get us into war with Russia, Russians will be the least of their worries.
If they want a war with russia, debate it in congress and if the vote is there, declare war. If you are going to commit troops and weapons, let’s have a declaration of war! Oh, and start digging yourself a fall-out shelter.
I thought that the Russians had been routed near Kiev.
Why would they need to go to the president's desk? It's not like he's the one calling the shots.

Gotta keep the family jewels safe from gamma radiation.
This all started with a discussion about embassy security. Two minutes later, people are considering it Vietnam.
People have lost their minds.
They goaded this war into happening and are doing everything in their power to escalate it…
If each side ends up “only” firing ten or so ICBM nukes each, one of Russia’s will be aimed at King’s Bay GA.
They will not waste ICBMs on isolated single missile silos that might be empty by then.
They will drop one FOR SURE on Puget Sound and one on King’s Bay GA, home ports to multiple SSBNs each at any given time, with dozens of warheads on each “boomer” submarine. And more in bunkers nearby.
The radiation fallout when 100+ plutonium warheads go up in the mushroom cloud is going to be an extermination level event for the downwinders, depending on wind direction the following few days. Plus the reactor core nuclear material on the subs will go up in the cloud. Those areas of GA and WA will be barren for centuries.
IMHO.
From December to August the usual prevaling winds will push the radiation out to sea, which is its own nightmare.
From Aug to Dec, it is likely that inland GA will be forever lost to radiation.
North is not a usual prevailing pattern so Atlanta and my region well outside of Atlanta will likely be okay. Same with South so you should be okay.
Could it be possible that elites in both Russia and the US are desirous of a war? Why not? The elites will stay safe. They have no worries, whatever. And, everyone (elites) will make tons of money from the industrial suppliers of war machinery. What’s to worry?
Just have a gentlemen’s (is it wrong to say that word?) agreement that no nukes will be used in spite of all the make believe “heated” rhetoric. Everybody makes billions of dollars, and only the poor saps will feel any pain. For bonus, millions of undesirables will be eliminated.
Thank you for those excellent maps. Knowing the historical and territorial conditions of this place explains a lot….not that anybody’s really interested in hearing it.
