Started before covid, and beyond the US.
Brandon and Orangeman did not cause this.
An ignorant statement.
It takes a lot of infrastructure to switch crops, and more to sell and process them.
Years. Not weeks, years.
I didn’t say it would be right away.
Good point.
Did jump a bit.
But I had a long discussion with someone yesterday complaining that the farmers were planting corn, when they should be planting wheat instead.
And they pulled the “racist!” card.
I’m sure Biden is on top of this!
The food supply chain problems may last years, the expert warned BUT ONLY if Dims are running the show from now and past the 2024 elections!
She is a trustee of the Mandela Institute for Development Studies and was elected one of the World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders, and she has an MBA - not a degree in agriculture, plant biology, bioengineering, soil biology, etc. There may be a problem, but I wouldn't put money on the UN or this person's company to accurately predict it, characterize it, and certainly not to solve it.
Idiot Biden’s going to cause problems far into the future. I’m not even sure what we’ll look like once we’re finally rid of this rotten, stupid regime.
Well, that may take a couple of years to shake out...as usual.
Usually, people don’t do that planting until there is a shortage, and then it takes a while for the crops to be grown during the proper weather. Go ahead...eat next spring’s cucumbers.
I’ve read and believe that for most of history, poverty has been the norm and the elites, as now, don’t really care about those living in poverty other than to gain anything they can from them. Now, where’s my cake? 🍰
If you don’t know how to save seeds, you-tube has lots of videos on how to prep seed stock, and things like seed potatoes.
AGAIN with the ‘experts’!!
I have no idea her expertise, or her predictions - but there is plenty of evidence of a coming shortage when you see how many countries planted less land this year because of the fertilizer shortages, and how much less they expect to harvest from that land that they did plant. Pretty typical is 85% of the usual cropland planted, and about 80% of expected harvest from that land.
Food is being produced. Just cannot get to its final destination. And that is political.
Both the US and Canada should be able to produce enough food to supply their populations. There is easily enough arable land in each country to readily supply domestic food requirements.
This food ‘crisis’ is yet another gubmint/WEF plot to destroy these countries and institute their global power grab. This ‘crisis’, like the CCP-Coronavirus CONdemic is about terrifying the populace, so they become compliant to ‘top-down’ governance by the elite. All about CONTROL!
Stock up folks
I'm going to bookmark this thread, and set a calendar reminder for July 17/ten weeks from now.
Anyone wanna take bets as to the state of food by then?
SPOT ON!
My crises will be a bit farther out than that. I just paid for half a hog and the butcher already has it. Another two weeks and our freezer will be looking good.
