Inflation is making everyone spend more, but it could be the driver to saving our money – and the planet

nflation has many Americans worrying – a jump in prices of groceries and gas means paying more for fewer items, and possibly constraining any savings for the future. But it could also be a chance to rethink everyday spending, and possibly even help the environment.

There’s a link between consumer spending and climate change. Much of what Americans purchase must be manufactured, placing more emphasis on resources, energy and fuel. This record inflation, currently standing at more than 8%, could be a time to revisit everyday spending and change behaviors, for the benefit of consumers’ budgets and the world, said Tanja Hester, author of “Wallet Activism: How to Use Every Dollar You Spend, Earn and Save as a Force for Change.”

In her book, Hester, who is also a MarketWatch contributor, shows the link between spending and big-picture global issues, including climate change, inequality and capitalism. Hester is also an early retiree, leaving the workforce at age 38 after switching from a lifestyle of splurging to saving. Her first book, “Work Optional: Retire Early the Non-Penny-Pinching Way,” explores financial independence and early retirement.

$30 trillion dollar debt. There is no way to get rid of it except to inflate it away.

So now inflation is our savior? No, it’s an indication that something is wrong.

If this person really wants to reduce gluttony, she should support reductions in government spending, — we cannot support a 6 trillion dollar budget — raising the interest rates to make money sound and switching us from our current torture-machine tax system to a consumption tax.

See, as long as Democrats have caused inflation it’s a feature not a bug. Inflation is good! Just as when unemployment was up under Obama we were assured unemployment was good because it allowed us to spend time with our families and work on our hobbies.

The propaganda never sleeps.

It’s not that we’ll own nothing - it’s that our betters will own everything. International travel? We’ll have to save up our equity stamps.

We will just have to learn to enjoy places vicariously - you know, by strapping on a viewer and seeing it in the Metaverse virtual reality.

See? It will ALMOST as good, and as a bonus, we’ll save the planet! It will be good, citizen. It will be fair.

You can’t get that high off of any drug available to man. It takes Democrat Party ideology to go to those heights and you are still about the consumer of shrooms.

HSBC has reportedly suspended a senior executive who accused central bankers and other officials of exaggerating the financial risks of climate change.

Last week, Stuart Kirk, a leader in the bank’s responsible investing team, said: “There’s always some nut job telling me about the end of the world.”

At the weekend, HSBC’s boss Noel Quinn posted on social media that he did not agree “at all” with the comments.

The firm declined to comment on reports that Mr Kirk has been suspended.

Mr Kirk, who is global head of responsible investing at the bank’s asset management division, was suspended pending an investigation into a speech he made at an event last week, according to the Financial Times, which first reported the story.

His role, which is based in London, involves considering the impact of investments on environmental, social and governance issues.

Inflation will be a blessing if it jolts the American People into kicking the hate-filled, anti-American Democrats out of power once and for all and restoring the USA to the control of people who love and revere her.
