No, sorry . Was referring to the SF Examiner quote which is pure nonsense. Pelosi has way outlived her usefulness to humanity, if she ever has any. This woman is pure evil.

I don’t get this at all.

The Catholic Church is issuing sanctions or discipline to a member of the church.

Why the heck does the editorial board of a newspaper weigh in on such a subject? Nancy is still Speaker of the House, is still one of the most powerful politicians in America, and is still able to push for liberal legislation in her secular job as a member of Congress and Speaker of the House.

There is nothing happening here which affects her job in Congress. And the fact that these editorial types tend to be irreligious makes one wonder, why the heck do they care or comment on what any religious leader has to say about anything?

The media is the first to start screaming about the separation of church and state when conservatives are involved. Yet now they’re horning in on what’s going on between the Catholic denomination and a U.S. Congresscritter.

He [Hearst] was attacked because he became more conservative during FDR's later years.

Interesting. Perhaps the result of being able gain information that cause him to realize FDR was basically an incompetent manager.

"San FranSicko, doing what it does."

Are there 10 righteous people in San FranSicko? Nancy Pelosi should be turned into a pillar of salt regardless.

Not just mortal sin, grave sin, not able to be forgiven through absolution by an ordinary priest (pope frankus argentinus sometimes pretends that it can but it can’t.

Who the hell is the local newspaper trying to tell the Vatican what to do.

I am no fan of the Catholic Church, but I am constantly surprised with the reaction of people when the Church does what it says it will do. It’s not a social club. They have rules.

The Church’s attitude towards divorce is “absolutely not”.

My pre-Vatican II priest gave me an OK for a divorce because my husband was abusive.

The S.F. Editorial board would have demanded that Jonah be thrown back into the sea and not listen to his message from God for Nineveh to repent. So the editorial board is calling for the wrath of God to be upon themselves and their city. So be it.

I agree. I loathe her. She’s a slimy, arrogant, blatant criminal. I’m a Christian and it is a challenge to keep from outright hating her.

She, Obama, Biden, Clinton and the others are due for a reckoning.

If he is the man I think he is I’m not that sure he will issue a retraction even if ordered to by the pope.

The Borgias may have been morally corrupt, but they didn’t mess with doctrine.

Fair point, especially if you add perverted to your statement.

Having said that, it seems like this one has tried to approach the red line of changing dogmatic level teachings but somehow has been held back. I'm thinking particularly on abortion and sodomite "marriage". It's assistant from reading his words that he wants to allow both, but when specifically asked, he says that he can't.

I haven't really followed what he's said for the past several years, so I could be quite wrong, but that's been the impression I've gotten from being a casual observer.
