The wokies are truly lost.

If they were content merely to stumble around in the darkness, it wouldn't matter much, but unfortunately they feel compelled to inflict their madness on everyone else.

Why haven't they started making infidels wear scarlet letters...

What am I saying!
Don't give 'em any ideas!

this Pope is an utter commie!!

On steroids.

I'm starting to have to listen to more ultra lib sermons at my church. This weekend was about how wonderful our open southern border is.

Time to find another parish.

The editorial board argued that by denying Pelosi Holy Communion, the archbishop wasn’t being loyal to Christ.

How many babies did Jesus abort?

Yeah San Francisco has a lot of respect for the Catholic faith

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence® are a leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns. We believe all people have a right to express their unique joy and beauty.

Since our first appearance in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979, the Sisters have devoted ourselves to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment.

We use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit.

Now I have to look up definitions of mortal sin and grave sin. Grave sins cannot be forgiven?

Only by bishops I think. I’m not an expert on canon law but there was discussion of this a few years ago.

Then you must be even more livid at the education system in America or the myriad Protestant religions, both of whom report a sexual misconduct rate of 10%. By contrast, only 2.5% of priests were ever accused of molestation over a 50-year time span according to an extensive study by the NYT in 2004. Their victims were overwhelmingly adolescent boys and each priest convicted was found to have molested approximately 3 minors.

Mortal sins are grave sins undertaken wit full knowledge and full consent.

Generally, priests can absolve any sins; however, there are some sins which need to be forgiven at higher levels, or which need to have that authority requested and given to the priest.

Steve 86 was saying that a priest could not forgive a certain sin because absolution for that particular sin is reserved for a higher level, not the there are sins which cannot be forgiven.

Dems made noise about this in the past. Here’s one example——https://news.yahoo.com/california-democrat-suggests-catholic-church-191626231.html

For some reason this decision by the Pope when he makes it is more interesting to me than it should be as a non-Catholic.

Sort of a sign of an upcoming epic battle between the Leftists in the US demanding the “crossing the line between Church and State” be totally stopped, or the Church (and all denominations of Jews and Christians) fights back on the side of being God fearing.

So far, most churches and synagogues want to be popular, trendy, accepted and big fund raising champions.

No mentions of messy stuff in the Bible (marriage between one man and one woman, male and female He made, Thou Shalt Not Murder, I knew you in your mother’s womb before you were born——and more).

If the Pope says killing babies by abortion is sort of in some ways somewhat okay if it means getting smiles from Biden and Pelosi then what exactly is “right and wrong?” Any crime will be okay? Any sin okay?

Of course he will be there. He was simply following Canon Law which is rather explicit (Canon 915).

It is because the Catholic Church in the US has been the Democratic party at prayer for decades.

Not 100%, but the RCC has been on the dems side more often than not, even when it runs counter to their written doctrine.

About 10 or so years ago, in the golden age of the religion forum, there was a Roman Catholic poster that said the church would either realize the dems are not it’s friend, or realize that they will have to stop following Jesus.

He has moved on, but I hope Doc is seeing this.

Not hopeful myself, but I’m comforted in knowing that the Church survived the Borgias. If She was able to do that, She’ll survive this.

We likewise survived Pope John XII

...who was killed when an outraged nobleman threw him out a window after the pontiff bedded the man's wife.

Good book:

The left has this pope’s ear. He is likely to grant their wishes. And when he does, it will be a feeding frenzy with all the blood in the water.
