I am a middle-aged African American father, reeling from the sheer horror of what happened to members of my community in Buffalo. Through my pain, I am praying for all the victims and their traumatized families, friends and neighbors -- and for all the minority Americans who are feeling even more afraid now than they did before.

Because you are male, you were born a winner of the patriarchal jackpot. You are more likely to rise to the top of the career ladder and will be better paid on your way up. The state will not attempt to dictate what you can and cannot do with your own body. On top of that, because you are White, and you live in a country that is structurally racist, you enjoy the huge privilege your skin color gives you.

No one will try to rob you of your right to vote. You don't need to be terrified of law enforcement officers. You will benefit from better education, health care, job opportunities and finances, for example, than your peers who happen to be Black. Although your ancestors also likely moved here from somewhere else at some point in the past, it probably wasn't as shackled slaves. If you have the added bonus of being Christian, heterosexual, cisgender and able-bodied, then you might well never know firsthand how it feels to be stigmatized, marginalized or hated because of some aspect of yourself over which you have absolutely no control. That makes you very lucky indeed.

People who openly peddle crazed, racist and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories such as the Great Replacement Theory -- the likes of Tucker Carlson and Elise Stefanik -- are out to grab power, not to help you.

I feel sorry for his kids.
They are being trained for a life of professional victimhood.
Stunning, willful ignorance
Fully indoc’d. Sadly there are those that buy this 🐂💨💩. Of course saying that makes me, well you know.
That’s funny right there.
Work for generations to build a free and prosperous country and black affirmative action hire calls it “luck.”
I am a middle-aged African American father,”
You are also a deluded moron.
From the excerpt, there isn’t any reason to read the rest of that nonsense, but I will offer the answer to his question is sheer ignorance of the type he displayed here.
Every single country in the world has a racial/ethnic majority.
Therefore bylibtard logic, every single country is structurally racist.
Yet white majority countries are the only ones singled out for libtard guilt shaming and being unacceptable.
Embrace it. Be proud of it. Pass the “luck” and “privilege” on to your kids.
Since you are a middle-aged African-American father, I would like to ask you what you think of the black-on-black carnage that occurs every single weekend in big cities around this country. How do you feel about a “Buffalo” happening in Chicago EVERY SINGLE WEEK by blacks against blacks, and why you’re not outraged about that?
“democrats have lost touch with reality”
...and sanity, and morality, and compassion (for the unborn, among others), and, on and on
There’s just one problem with your proposal. They first have to have minds to lose.
He has served on the White House African American Clergy Network and as co-chair of the Massachusetts Council of Chaplains in State Institutions for Governor Deval Patrick. What a load of total garbage from CNN as usual.
I am a middle-aged white man, do I get to ask black teen males a question?
I voted for President Trump in 2020.
You don't need to be terrified of law enforcement officers.
As a teen in south Florida, I was once pulled over after driving home from my grandmother's house in a senior development in the western Ft. Lauderdale area. The cop told me "my car looked like one reported leaving the scene of a crime." The cop just wanted to pull over a teenager and write down names.
During college a few years later, I went home to visit a friend and the same thing happened after we drove my rental car out of his apartment complex.
In my neighborhood (10 miles south of the future Parkland), the cops were just pulling over young drivers who were out at night.
You will benefit from better education,
I went to the state university and studied STEM and business. Back then, college tuition was not usury.
health care, job opportunities and finances, for example, than your peers who happen to be Black.
I got a business degree in computer science back when the industry was just coming out of the punch card era. It was new, it was in demand, it required a college degree to program mainframe computers, it paid well compared to other industries, and the employer-provided health care benefits were excellent.
I stayed at one company for my entire career, took advantage of the company-matching savings plans, and reinvested my company stock dividends for my entire career. Staying at one company maximized my retiree pension benefits.
Oh, and there were plenty of African-Americans who did the same thing.
Although your ancestors also likely moved here from somewhere else at some point in the past, it probably wasn't as shackled slaves.
Did you ever see the show/movie Fiddler on the Roof? That's where my ancestors came from.
If you have the added bonus of being Christian, heterosexual, cisgender and able-bodied, then you might well never know firsthand how it feels to be stigmatized, marginalized or hated because of some aspect of yourself over which you have absolutely no control. That makes you very lucky indeed.
That's called being mainstream. We have safety-nets for people who suffer from adversities beyond their control, but in this constitutional republic we don't make laws for the extreme minority, we make laws for the majority and provide support for special cases.

That’s the question axer?
How do you feel about what happened in Waukesha?
I aint buyin what CNN is sellin.

It would be absolutely wonderful to see this guy sitting across the table from(pick one):
Hanson, Elder, Swain, Sowell, Thomas, the list goes on and on. Or really, just one level headed person that is articulate and patient because they should know they’ll be interrupted and talked over the whole time
But, before the tete a teté begins, he should be asked to address Lightfoot in Chicago and all the violence that has crushed that city for decades and only gotten worse.
The BIG BLACK BOO HOO.
