That act is not a cure all for regulatory mistakes. (Are we going to try to invoke that act to produce more gasoline? More meat in the supermarkets? More housing for illegals? Etc.) No, the formula shortage was caused by FDA food safety regulation failure.

I heard on the radio babies are now being brought into the emergency room from lack of formula. I assume these are the ones who need the specialized stuff because of an allergy to milk etc. So now it seems the occupation doesn’t even care if they are still in the womb or not, death is what they are aiming for either way.
Another thing, did you hear about all the baby formula stocked at that border? Pallets of it? You know what that is for? They are preparing for when the occupation gets rid of Title 42. They know the border invasion will be like a tsunami when that happens and the occupation wants to make sure the babies of the invaders are properly fed.
Using the Defense Production Act Slow Joe will direct billions to his corrupt friends. They will buy equipment, hire people, buy supplies and never produce a single can of formula. They will collect every last dollar and fold up their shops. Even if they were spectacularly successful, it would be a year or so before the first can hit the shipping dock. It’s nothing more than another Biden Crime Family scam.

More government abuse. Formula shortage was caused by government, but the solution has nothing to do with the Defense Production Act, which was enacted to deal with National Security, which formula clearly is not.
Total misuse of the Act. Most government contractors that supply to the military have to give priority to the military over commercial customers. But this makes no sense, since the outstanding orders/demand is needed by private citizens already. Unless of course the premise is to further limit the availability on store shelves in order to feed the illegals and/or send overseas as part of an aid package.
Sadly, using the Defense Production Act will most likely reduce availability even further. Even worse will be if they strategically direct it to Democrat strongholds and punish pro-Trump areas. I’m calling it here...
