i just watched a short film on the struggle for freedom of speech in this country way back when- and the brits did exactly what the biden admin tried doing, suppressing the right to criticize and speak freely- a newspaper man decided to criticise the gov, and was jailed- a prominent lawyer was to defend him, but the gov suspended his right to practice- so he set off across state to get another lawyer, can’t remember hwo now- but he showed up just in time for the sham trial, and was able to inspire the 12 jurors to stand up for the right to free speech which was remarkable because they knew they woudl be harassed by the gov-
it happened in NY- can’t remember the details now- but i thought wow- the government now is acting just like the britts did- denying people their rights, and arresting them just for speaking out-
After all these years of having free speech- our government has become the very thing our forefathers had to fight against in order to gain our freedoms-
