Sports Illustrated Swimsuit honcho MJ Day and other staffers from the bikini bible popped out with a camera crew as the cover of this year’s magazine, featuring Nu, filled a nearby monitor.

I’m 66 and amazed at how many of my friends and family members are overweight - and have diabetes, high blood pressure and heart issues. Two of my cousins have had “stomach stapling,” my brother very overweight and is on all kinds of meds, as are many of my friends.
Most, if not all are sedentary.
We try to get in 10,000 steps a day, bought e bikes last year and ride them all over the place, hike on the weekends with our dogs - it is a lot of fun and something we enjoy doing as a family. I recently took up Yoga and that has helped my stiffening joints. Husband played pickle ball until his hip surgery.
Beats taking handfuls of pharmaceutical drugs every day.
We are amazed at how few people we see (especially at our age) out and about on bikes, hiking and walking in our local beautiful parks.

The “stomach stapling” helped my wife get from 300lbs+ down to below 150 lbs. Major difference in how we live was doing the electric scooter thing before. She can now walk 2-3 miles in a park no problem. See many older people walking biking, and pickleball in the local parks. Good for them. Myself bad habits catching up. But can still get out and fish.

Since I do like them a little curvier, after the fashion world giving us anorexics for generations, I’m fine going slightly in the other direction.

I agree. But recall I said “with a waist-to-hips ratio of .7 or under being ideal”. That means slim waist and wide hips. This describes Raquel Welch, Sophia Loren, and most Playboy centerfolds, none of whom are skinny and none of whom are obese. There IS an optimum middle between anorexic and obese.
Julia Fox is closest to that body type with a modern actress.
Megan Fox, at 34-22-32 (waist to hips 0.69), met the criteria in Transformers. Having a waist-to-hips ratio of .7 or under indicates a healthy mature woman. A pre-adolescent will have a thin waist, but won't have mature hips. An overweight adult woman may have the hips, but have a thick waist.
Scarlett Johansson (36-25-36, ratio .69) also qualifies.
