President Biden has signed an order authorizing the military to once again deploy hundreds of Special Operations forces inside Somalia — largely reversing the decision by President Donald J. Trump to withdraw nearly all 700 ground troops who had been stationed there, according to four officials familiar with the matter.

In addition, Mr. Biden has approved a Pentagon request for standing authority to target about a dozen suspected leaders of Al Shabab, the Somali terrorist group that is affiliated with Al Qaeda, three of the officials said. Since Mr. Biden took office, airstrikes have largely been limited to those meant to defend partner forces facing an immediate threat.

The DemocRATS are clearly looking for a way to justify bringing hundreds of thousands of more Muslim Somalis to America. Hell, if they strategically place them, they may get several more Somali Muslims in Congress. Now wouldn’t that be just peachy keen!

The special forces would be better used on the Mexican border.

Everything this admin does is detrimental to our country.
Just like when obama was president.
Same pattern there.

It’s The Military Industrial Complex that President Eisenhower warned us about.

Downsize the military. Army and Marine Corps should be Reserves.

We'll still have the Navy and the Air Force, so we should be all right.

If we declare war, we can call our Reserves in the Army and the Air Force to active duty.

I notice our little Joe Biden Ukraine pep section don’t care much for this thread.

I mean we just invaded Somalia again. Some of the Uke money is going to have to be shared while the American people get screwed for another foreign entanglement.

I can’t stand it when we invade other countries.

That’s worth thinking about.

I’m a VN combat vet and now I see our military as a tool of the Globalists to protect their interests and agenda.

Good people in todays military are pissed and they’re already having difficulties meeting manpower needs. We’ll probably see the Draft come back. And if I’m still around, I’ll help the draft dodgers.

Already destroyed.

May Babylon fall soon.

Honestly, I see our grunts as cannon fodder. It shouldn't be that easy to intervene in other nations.

You are exactly right. That they are cannon fodder is part of my point.

The intervention in other nations is part of protecting the interests and agenda of the Globalists. There are few legitimate reasons to intervene in another country.

Not many. The Cold War is over. We should settle down a bit. Be more like India or Japan.

The old Somaliland under colonialism was united in a single country. A dictatorship lasted for decades, but when it was deposed the country soon developed into anarchy. The USA was directly involved in 1992. It was at that time that the counry divided in two. The northern dogleg called Somaliland wanted nothing to do with the south. And that holds true to this day. The peaceable north recently urged the UN to allow it to cede from the south. The UN, backed by Biden’s people at the UN, denied a request that was most sensible. And now we are screwing around in southern Somalia once again. The people are probably the most fractious in Africa, and the Somalis are generally disliked by other Africans. So what could go wrong?

Time for us to stop encouraging our kids to join the military. We should be more like hippies.

At the very least, cut one half, or more, of the Generals/Flag Officers. Our mission capability won’t miss a beat.

I've done that, encouraging my sons, nephews, and their friends to stay away from the military.

I was active from 76-84, Air Defense Artillery. The Army was very good to me, but I don't recognize today's military...check that, I do recognize it. The Courtney Massengales have run off the Sam Damons.

The best efficiency reports I earned came from superiors that demanded imagination and intelligence from their officers. My career ended with a couple of assignments with REMFs who were micro managers.

Not like hippies. Young people need to be educated. And they’re not being educated about our country. Most don’t appreciate the country so they don’t understand what is at risk..
