Paramount CEO Bakish Eyeing 3 Million DTC Sub Loss in Q2 Due to Russia/Ukraine Conflict
So more virtue signaling being used by a corporation to cover up the fact that Russians don't want their crap...?
“No McDonalds? No MTV? Is life worth living?”
Don’t know why they ever allowed that crap in the first place.
There you go. Hoping for a Netflix-like collapse for Paramount.
Good gad, you couldn't PAY me to watch that crap.
If only Paramount would suspend broadcasts in the United States.
Addition by Subtraction.
There are a lot of Russian TV series on YouTube, IMHO they are better than the Hollywood dreck.
Isn't that the truth. I'm waiting for all those who claim to have unplugged their TVs years ago to chime in on the side of Paramount.
They waited long enough. Since their content sucks so badly nothing to lose at this point to virtue signal for Ukraine?
Given the programming on Paramount networks... I wouldn’t say that’s a huge loss for Russia.
I dunno...we’re kinda enjoying the new Star Trek show. Lots of callbacks to the Original Series.
And Anson Mount is the best person to sit in the captain’s chair since Bill Shatner.
IMO.
Makes one wonder just how long the planning for this so-called invasion has been in the works.
And what Deep States, plural, knew and when they knew it...
No Yellowstone
I was wondering about it. I like classic Star Trek but can’t abide the newer woke stuff.
Paramount+ has a lot of old movies (all the way back to silent offerings) and classic TV shows. To me the big + is that you can opt for a no commercials tier.
I saw this on Pluto TV. The show was not good at all.
The pacing was wrong just like the newer movies. Too busy. The ships engine room is all wrong.
At least it is not a brewery like in another Star Trek movie.
They show windmills for power in the future when they have warp drive, impulse drive and anything else that would be better then a windmill.
Why would they want bird choppers?
The captains hair... it looks like it is from a 1950’s doo wop band.
He also tilts his head a lot. I expect him to do a Elvis impression and say uh huh huh...
The way he walks. He needs to stand up straight and stop slouching.
They kept having him looking at his future self in any reflective surface. I saw in the preview of the next show he was going on about his future. I suspect it will be an endless occurrence.
Later we see a female alien who leads her side on the planet and she too has big hair. She could fit in with the country music look from the 60’s and 70’s.
The bridge females have some odd hair do’s too. One has both sides of her skull shaved. Probably will be revealed she is a lesbian later on.
The nearly all female crew. The alien leaders are female too.
The insult that peaceful protesters on January 6 were one of the reasons for ww3 and not showing the dozens of cities burning and innocent peoples property being destroyed because of the democrat party.
The endless platitudes and clichés the captain kept spouting thru-out the show.
The ship is too colorful, many bright lights. They have lights on every edge. Only missing the lens flares.
The captains room is too big unless he is holding many parties. He has a fireplace, maybe just a hologram.
They brought on a character named Samual Kirk, the brother of James T. Kirk and he has a mustache. The way he walked in on the bridge reminded me of the Galaxy Quest character Guy Fleegman (mustache) who later became the security chief when he walked onto the bridge at the end of the movie.
Host of the Inside the Series show is Wil Wheaton aka Wesley, Wesley Crusher who was wearing a suit with a purple tie and not quite sure but he pinned a symbol of the federation badge or a peace sign and it was in a rainbow of colors......
I guess because Star Trek is now so gay.
Sounds horrible, pass.
I’m enjoying “The Offer”, a 10-part miniseries about the making of “The Godfather”.
