I DON’T BELIEVE IN CO-INCIDENCE.
I WAS JUST SURFING THE NET AND FOUND A SITE OF COLORIZED B&W PHOTOS.
THIS WAS THERE:
Carl Akeley posing with the leopard he killed with his bare hands after it attacked him, 1896.

JUST CLICK THE LINK.
KEEP THE FAITH.

I stepped outside and could just make out the outline of the moon through the clouds. It’s already about half-covered by shadow.
“We won’t get to see it. :-(”
Don’t worry about it. The “Blood Moon” total lunar eclipse will repeat itself mid month for the next three months.
You’re bound to get a clear night one month or another.
Check on line for the dates.
Thanks for your reply to my previous “Thank You.”
It’s gorgeous and huge here. And the sky is clear. When does the eclipse start? I’m clueless. LOL!
Weather was beautiful. 7 straight days is a blessing for us in May.
Ready for the week, have to figure out why my truck won’t start.
I have a friend coming over with an engine scanner, code reader.
Newer trucks are a pain in the arse as are newer cars. Always a guessing game.
2008 f250 Super duty will be the companies new flatbed run around truck.
Hi Kathy! Weather here is finally getting warm; hoping the same in Alaska.
I just went out and there was a thumbnail moon left. Not sure if it’s starting or ending. Pretty though.
It feels nice out there right now even though it says it’s still 88. It got up to 102 today and the contrast is a lot. I didn’t suffer much, but we stayed indoors. If our electricity goes off, I’m not sure what the plan will be. Yet.
I do need to check the list for eclipses. Haven’t done that yet and I’m usually better at keeping up with that stuff. I just love celestial events.
I had no clue there were more eclipses coming so soon. Thanks for the heads up!
It took a while to come up with a reply to your previous post. LOL It caught me a bit off guard. I’m used to being the one dishing out thanks.
I looked again a couple of minutes ago and there’s no moon in sight now. :-( I got lucky earlier and a thin spot in the clouds was in front of the moon.
The eclipse is going on right now. It’ll be total in a few minutes and will stay that way for a little over an hour. Then what’s been going on for about an hours happens in reverse as the moon moves out of the shadow.
You were prepared with clothes pins???
I got a picture of it almost gone, but it’s a lousy shot. No point in posting it. LOL!
I’m so mad that we have clouds tonight after having clear skies all day. Maybe we’ll have better luck with the November eclipse, though that one won’t be total here. :-(
The boss has been gone for a week, but I sure hope she put out feelers 2 weeks ago. I’m afraid there are going to be a lot of corrections each week, as we don’t have enough people to check everything. We lost our 4th person 15 months ago, and no effort was made to replace him. Now we lose another and the supervisor is going to have to help fill in.
Every now and then I see a small patch of blue sky, but sunset doesn’t happen for at least 2 1/2 more hours.
Thanks for the moon tunes.
You have the worst luck seeing a full moon. LOL! I hope you do get to see the November one. I actually wish it WAS November. 🤣🤣
They never replaced him after all this time????? WTH are they thinking? Sounds like time for mutiny. LOL
I hope you get to see it. It’s really stunning especially when it’s still low in the sky.
Well, you earned every bit of that Thanks and more. You obviously take such pleasure in what you do that it’s a joy to behold...and you do it for ALL of US, young and old, vet and civilian, citizen, visitor, or just resident. You help to show them the very best of America.
I’ll tell you, when someone says to me, “Thank You for your service”, I know they sincerely mean it in good faith, but it irks me a bit for a number of reasons that I won’t get in to. I answer by saying, “Don’t THANK me. It was my DUTY, and the HONOR OF MY LIFE.”
I mean every word of that...and I’m pretty sure you know exactly what I mean, because I believe that you feel pretty much the same about what you do.
I’ll not mention it again, but never forget how much I thank you for your service to ALL of US.
G-D BLESS.
You won’t get to see any of the eclipse at Anchorage according to the map.
I’m watching it on YouTube since we can’t see a dratted thing from here. grrrrrrrr
