In early primaries, voters favor polling places over mail

ATLANTA (AP) — The great vote-by-mail wave appears to be receding just as quickly as it arrived.

After tens of millions of people in the United States opted for mail ballots during the pandemic election of 2020, voters in early primary states are returning in droves to in-person voting this year.

In Georgia, one of the mostly hotly contested states, about 85,000 voters had requested mail ballots for the May 24 primary, as of Thursday. That is a dramatic decrease from the nearly 1 million who cast mail ballots in the state’s 2020 primary at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

The trend was similar in Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia, which held primaries this month; comparisons were not available for Nebraska, another early primary state.

A step back in mail balloting was expected given easing concerns about COVID-19, but some election officials and voting experts had predicted that far more voters would seek out the convenience of mail voting once they experienced it.

They wanted vote by mail to become the norm. But the people aren't having it.

Because it's not (and never has been) difficult to go to your local polling place, fill in some ovals and go home.

We have been conducting elections for close to four hundred years. But only NOW we must entrust the franchise to an army of people in wool and polyester pants processing ballots along with Pottery Barn catalogs?

It might happen in some places, like Washington, but not everyplace.

The point was to install the drop boxes so people couldn’t tell how many extra’s are added.

A small inconvenience to ensure an honest election. Is that so surprising?

They’re already “predicting” a new COVID outbreak in the fall , no doubt to justify a return to mail in voting

The voters are finding out that mail order Presidents, VPs and other politicians really suck. Really really suck.

It is really pretty simple: Do you want your votes counted at the precinct level where there are a number of checks in place? Or do you want operatives to count them at a centralized processing center where mail-in ballots can show up hours or even days after the polls closed?

True The Vote Founder Catherine Engelbrecht said in the “2000 Mules” documentary that one of the strings attached to the huge “river” of money given to “get out the vote” non-profits stipulated the installation of ballot drop boxes.

I don’t think they should have them at all, and they shouldn’t be open to have ballots dropped in them 3 months before the election or anytime at all after.

Plus, it should be a federal requirement that if ballot drop boxes are used, they must have 24 hour video surveillance functioning on them for the drop box to even open, and the video must be recorded and kept for 22 months after the election, and additionally, must have the video streamed in real time that may be accessed by any US citizen anywhere on the Internet.

But better yet-no mail in ballots except for legitimate absentee ballots.

Voters prefer to vote in person because they want to make sure their votes are reliably counted.

Globalist billionaires prefer massive middle-of-the night dumps of anonymous ballots into unmonitored drop-boxes because they want to make sure all votes are counted, especially the trafficked ballots they paid good money for.

God, let's hope so. IMHO, vote-by-mail is how the 2020 election became, ah, questionable.

In Georgia...about 85,000 voters had requested mail ballots for the May 24 primary.

Wow, they're behind the times. Georgia needs to send those mail-in ballots out like California did - multiple ballots to every single household.

My neighbor received three, his wife two.

Then, the ballot harvesters come around asking for the ballots back (filled out for Democrats) - totally legal in California.

There should be extremely strict controls around absentee voting and mail in voting should be banned altogether. You should show up on election day (not month) and show government issued photo ID to vote.

There should be a meaningful right to observe the count by representatives of multiple political parties and they should have the right to challenge any ballot. Ballots should be on paper only.

Just like they do it in European countries.

Vote by mail is criminal. It enables the steal. It’s a huge part of what 2000 mules was about. Most people know this.
