Buffalo shooting: Ten dead in racially motivated attack at New York state store

An 18-year-old white man has shot dead 10 people in a black neighbourhood of New York state in what authorities are calling a racially motivated attack.

The man, named as Payton Gendron in court papers, was arrested after a stand-off at the scene - a supermarket in the city of Buffalo.

He began firing in the store's car park before entering and continuing his rampage, streaming the attack online.

"We are investigating this incident as both a hate crime and a case of racially-motivated violent extremism," said Stephen Belongia, from the FBI's Buffalo office, adding there was evidence of "racial animosity."

CBS news reported that the attacker shouted racial slurs during the shooting and suggested that he had a racial slur written on his weapon. He also apparently posted a manifesto online which included racist language and ideas.

The suspect is believed to have driven for some 200 miles to reach the predominantly black area of the city. Thirteen people were shot in total and the majority of the victims were black.

So yes when we individually can pick and choose who we associate with, we obviously pick the good ones. But a society as a whole doesn’t have that luxury, it has to contend with the various populations as a whole.

I lived in my home for over 40 years and the black couple bought the home next to me a copula years ago, I didn't get to "pick the good ones".

Point two, society doesn't deal with 'populations' people are individuals, not cats and dogs.

That’s right, that’s why there is no affirmative action, no preferential treatments for certain groups, no talk about white privilege and systemic racism, no Critical Race Theory in every institution, no talk of reparations, no defunding of cops... none of those group (population, race) based programs exist.

Racial divisions and discord consume every ounce of emotional energy of this country. A day doesn’t go by where some form or other of racial “injustice” isn’t in the headlines.

As for the nice black family from the right end of the bell curve that moved next to you... true you didn’t pick them, they picked you... more precisely your neighborhood (I’m sure mostly white) because they didn’t want to live in the hood. IOW, they themselves (like you) have a low opinion of black neighborhoods. I wonder why that is? Probably for the same reason Jesse Jackson looked back and was relieved when he saw it was a white person following him instead of a black?

Let’s see how much of a racist and how honest you are. Let’s say that when that house next to you went up for sale you had a choice of picking either a random white family selected from all white families or a random black family selected from all the black families - which one would you have picked? Be honest now!

I have nothing against black people. My only point is that based on evidence worldwide, there are no cases where blacks and white, societally speaking, (not individually) peacefully coexist. (It’s not an accident, there is a reason for that, and if you’re nice to me I might even tell you what that is)

Given that, it would seem that separation might be best for both sides. They could govern themselves as they see fit without having to put up with all the irredeemably racist crackers and build their Wakanda, and whites could do the same without constantly being subjected to guilt trips and shake downs.

What exactly is wrong with that?

I have nothing against black people.

I live in America and that means that the guy that owns the house next to mine can sell to whom ever he chooses and I don't get a choice.

Number two, for a guy that has 'nothing against black people' you sure have a twisted view of life.

Back to your supposition, if my choice was either my black neighbor or you, I'd pay my current neighbor's mortgage to keep you out of my area.
