Looks like he’s talking out of both sides of his mouth. On the one hand he says not their bacteria, all was well. On the other he says: Abbott claims they are ‘working closely with the FDA to restart operations’ at the plant, with the spokesperson noting: ‘We continue to make progress on corrective actions and will be implementing additional actions as we work toward addressing items related to the recent recall’.

That other side seems to be the answer to the question.

But nice try to defend the FDA.

It just went splat.

As usual.

When the FDA come in they WILL find things that are wrong. Because it is impossible to meet all government standards especially when they are looking for a reason. In this case they claimed that the formula was the source of the bacteria that killed the children. Odd that they did not test the formula to be sure but just kind of ass-u-me-d. But it is the Fed. If they were competent they would have honest jobs.

But the formula apparently was NOT the source.

You would think that the Fed would be charging off to find out what was. But "Nah... it'll be FINE," they said.
