At least 180 cities reported increases in gun thefts from cars from 2019 to 2020. They are now the largest source of stolen guns, a new data analysis found.......in 2020, an estimated 77,000 guns were reported stolen in these 271 cities alone. Of those, more than half were taken out of vehicles — a stark difference from a decade ago, when the majority of gun thefts were from burglaries and less than a quarter were from cars

Don’t leave your gun in your car. Keep it on you..
Agreed—this is the answer.
It would be better if it had carpet covering it and a plastic facia on the aft end.
I know a man that has a gun case that looks like a leather Bible case complete with a cross and a dove. Nobody will vandalize a car to steal a Bible
Safer in your boat
I’m not understanding this. Is this some form of “I lost my guns in a boating accident” situation?
Gun free zones.
Or if you must leave it in the car, put it in a lockbox with a cable attached to it and the seat frame. They can still steal it, but they will have to work at it.

Except when you can't which in TX is a lot of places including the vast majority of employers, State building, schools, hospitals, amost entertainment venues, and Federal buildings including airports.
Lmao.
I lost a nice S and W 9mm. Thought I had it very well hidden in a custom seat cover. Won’t ever do that again! Had to fix the door lock too. About a 500.00 loss.
Same in Florida. I wonder how many are being stolen in the dead of night with a car parked in the drive way. Or while someone is in Walmart . Or people like your saying are inside a court or school building.
