Roberts is still attempting to persuade Coney Barrett and Kavanaugh to take a more incremental approach
The five-vote majority needed in the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey remains intact months after Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's leaked draft majority opinion was written, according to a report.
The leaked draft majority opinion penned by Alito is dated Feb. 10 and has almost certainly changed multiple times in the almost three months since it was written, but three conservative sources close to the court say that the votes supporting the decision remain unchanged, according to reporting from the Washington Post.
The justices set to join Alito's opinion include Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.

This is true - he is an institutionalist. He does not want to overturn a 7-2 super-precedent decision with a 5-4 decision. In his mind, that would compromise the credibility of the court.
Yes, thanks for your correction (I hate auto-type).
And I agree with you 1000%.
Well they do have souls, but each one is tarnished beyond recognition.
The leaks, whatever they report, will damage the Court’s ability to have frank, deliberate discussions in cases in private.
Re: 24 - Good grief, what hyperbole.
I think so, too....but Soto, Breyer and Kagan are beholding to the Dems and their “Kill the babies” policy.
“Roberts is still attempting to persuade Coney Barrett and Kavanaugh to take a more incremental approach”
I knew it. This is why Roberts didn’t release the ruling immediately after the leak dump. He’s hoping the pressure will flip a judge, leaving the Judges and their families in danger. They going through hell and Roberts could drop it today but he won’t.
If the leaker is a clerk, whosever it is should recuse themselves for this and all the upcoming cases for which he worked. In our system, the process of reaching a verdict is the most important thing. We let murderers free if the evidence against him was improperly gathered. The justice whose hire caused the leak should respect the process.
This vote will tell which justices are standing by their oath. Those who do not should not be on the Supreme Court.
He's single handily ruining the credibility of the court. He not only should move to a final decision sooner rather than later, but by now they should know who the leaker is, and he's slow walking that.
Roberts is too stupid to understand that if anything changes now to change the outcome, it will make them subject to terrorism forever and the court will never be independent again.
I think it is primarily to scare Robert’s into persuading Barrett and Kavanaugh. Or maybe he’s the leaker....
I think he absolutely knows who the leaker is. Which tell us what already knew, it was one of the rats. If he lets that out any attempts to flip a Judge is dead.
Yes, he will. I hope Barrett and Kavanaugh can hold their own. They should just go ahead and publish the opinion abd get it over with. End the protests and scare tactics.
So, is he pressuring Sotomayer, Breyer and the other woman whose name I can’t remember (Dem) like he is Kavanaugh and Barrett?
They should be fired, disbarred and criminally prosecuted. Oh, and shunned by civil society.
I fear the pressure is too great. Please dear Lord protect them from the evil mob...especially their families cause you know if they don’t change their vote they’re coming after their children next! The DEMONIC BABY KILLERS mob is going to put the hard squeeze on them!
Given that the preliminary decision was leaked, and we know who was supporting what, it may be harder for them to switch votes, as this will make their caving very public. I think the leakers may have shot themselves in the foot.
Of course not. :-)
