Yeah, I thought the little SOB was dead. But just this once he’s right. It certainly isn’t fair to the suckers who dutifully paid off their student loans.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. But are the Dems smart enough to take this advice? Nooo...

Student Loan Forgiveness Will ‘Piss off the Working Class’
***Well, yeah. I could spend an entire decade on the guvmint teat getting a worthless PhD if I knew my ‘loans’ would be forgiven.

Can't argue with him on his one. Begala is right:
“Democrats have gone from being the party of the factory floor to being the party of the faculty lounge.”

Well he’s right about this. Whatever votes the Dems may win by canceling student loan debt, they are likely to lose from those who paid off their loans. Will anybody ever pay off their student loans in the future, or just stall payments hoping for another debt jubilee? The moral hazard here is so obvious, I can’t believe they are even considering it.

The way you “earn debt-relief” is by paying it off, Forehead.

“Democrats have gone from being the party of the factory floor to being the party of the faculty lounge.”

This has been in the works since at least the 60’s, when patriotic union members clashed with Vietnam war protesters.

“””Democratic strategist and CNN Contributor Paul Begala”””

Sounds like Begala is counting the votes and it does not look good for the Democrat Socialists.

I paid mine off.

Made it a priority and double and tripled the payments to get it off my back sooner.

We spend more on illegal aliens and give them $65,000 each and even say we should give them $4550,000, but I didn’t see this idiot remarking on that.

Paul Begala is absolutely right on this issue.

Too many students have been riding the gravy train for decades.

It’s time for them to get out and push.

Student debt relief would be good if it is total andprefaced by abolition of the Department of Education without folding any of its functions into other departments and also by removing the Federal Government altogether from education regulation and funding of education at all levels other than schools on military bases far from schools.

The only “debt relief” I have EVER gotten is when I fully paid off the loan with my own hard-earned money.

Why should anybody expect any other sort of “relief”? What a crock of shee-it.

What percent of these owners of student debt loans, actually attended college classes?

Editorial: How bad was the financial aid fraud at California’s community colleges? We still don’t know, and that’s a problem!

Forty-four schools haven’t reported monthly findings on fake students to the chancellor’s office.(Los Angeles Times)
BY THE TIMES EDITORIAL BOARD~ MARCH 29, 2022 5 AM PT

It’s not the fault of California’s community colleges that fraudsters filed thousands of fake student applications, many through bots, early during the pandemic. At least 65,000 of them included documents requesting financial aid as federal relief money flowed to colleges. At the time, campuses were closed, classes were held online, and administrators were hectically trying to keep the colleges operating.

Once the deception was uncovered last fall, the state’s 116 community colleges had an obligation to help document the extent of the problem. But 44 have failed to report their monthly findings on fake applications to the chancellor’s office of the California Community Colleges, including all nine of the campuses of the Los Angeles Community College District.

In addition, 15% of community colleges haven’t filed even their preliminary enrollment surveys for the current academic year.

“Earn debt relief”.

And that’s how the National Service Corps will be born.
