Oz on Mitch McConnell: ‘There are Things He’s Done that are Wonderful’
Breitbart ^ | 05/07/2022 | Jacob Bliss

Posted on 05/07/2022 2:04:41 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz, who is running as a Republican for Senate in Pennsylvania, has sidestepped questions about Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in the past, saying he has done things that are “wonderful.”

This revelation about Dr. Oz comes as former President Donald Trump, who backs the candidate, goes on the attack against McConnell, calling him a “crow” at his rally Friday night in Pennsylvania.

Trump endorsing this guy and also taking the Lord’s Name in vain at a rally makes me wonder.

Well what do you think? It was an endorsement against the Democrat, not for Sasse. The alternative was the Democrat. If you want to call out someone for bad endorsements. You can call out The Tea Party Express, and guys like Rick Santorum, Ted Cruz, Mike lee, and Mark Levin who pushed Sasse in 2014 and said he was a “SOLID conservative”. They are also pushing RINO McCormick in 2022.

Turtle did a good job on Trump’s judicial appointments, especially by blocking Obama’s Supreme Court pick.

“ Trump also endorsed Mitt Romney…”

Because sometimes it’s a RINO or a Dem.

Oz is soft on the constitution, especially the second amendment.

He supports abortion.

He voted in the Turkish election in 2018.

He is a celebrity friend of Trump and that is the only reason he got the endorsement.

Trump damaged himself with is endorsement of Oz more than it has helped Oz.

Many constitutionalists in PA want someone other than Trump now based on the number of bad endorsements and staff picks.

We have a far superior alternative to Hollywood Oz and Bushie McCormick in Kathy Barnette who is statistically tied with Oz and McCormick.

The primary is the place for us to support constitutionalists and Barnette is the only choice.

Trump is very wrong on this and is showing poor judgement again.

I may be overly sensitive because I have never liked Oz, but when listening to him talk about Pennsylvania and Pennsylvanians at the rally he did not sound like he is one of us. There was something off. He wasn't quite believable. It was as if he was intentionally going through a check list that was given to him by advisors so he could better connect with Pennsylvania and MAGA voters. Oz talking about McConnell was one of these things. I got the impression that someone told him, "If you want to win, you have to speak poorly about McConnell. These MAGA people don't like McConnell." That's true, we don't like McConnell.

One of my acid tests to get my vote is simple. I don't want my next senator to vote for McConnell as majority leader. I want him to say it out loud, and often. Oz didn't do that. He can get to the point without name calling. Instead, Oz should have said, "I promise I will not vote for McConnell as majority leader," then enumerate the reasons why.

His speech was riddled with little things that did not seem true, or were just a little be off. I recall something about him saying he played football in high school. My first thought was, "Yeah, right. He's making up a story to appeal to yinzers." (People in Western PA, where HS football is huge.) That's a small thing, perhaps imagined since I don't like him. He didn't sound authentic to me.

I will not vote for Oz in the primary. Kathy Barnette is getting my vote. The last few days I have come to the painful conclusion that I have to hold my nose and vote for Oz in the general election if he wins the primary. I hate doing that.

I’d never vote for him, but why is it hard to believe he played football for the expensive private high school in Delaware he attended? (Chris Coons was a couple grades behind him.)

He probably rode the bench or was kicker.
Salesianum is the all male Catholic school that was excellent in football.

Why do so many allow this fabrication of “electability” stop them from voting for better candidates?

If murderer Ted Kennedy, stolen valor Blumenthal and communist Sanders are “electable” then so is a decent constitutionalist like Barnette.

The entire purpose of “electability” is to prevent us from actually putting good people into office which allows the cretins to lead our nation.

Yes, I know. My point was Tower Hill wasn’t as good as Salesianum in football.
So Oz could ride the pine at Tower Hill easier than making the team at Salesianum. I think New Castle County has the highest enrollment in private schools per population. I went to public school…Brandywine.

Sorry, I misread your #30. I thought you said it was hard to believe he played.

Expensive private school, I didn't know that. Now that makes sense. He just doesn't seem football tough and that works with going to an expensive private school. I looked it up, it also appears that he was played safety at Harvard. To tell you the truth, that actually raises my opinion of the guy. It is rather challenging to play college sports and do well academically.

I'm still not voting for him in the primaries. He just doesn't connect with me. There is something phony about him.
