The fortune teller that couldn’t see her end.
Good point.
Apparently they are being used at public school post prom activities.
I went to a real gypsy fortuneteller once with a friend. We were read by a young woman who seemed to be ‘in training’ by an older one.
One thing we found interesting was that they tended, at least back then, to ‘read’ you through the lens of their own cultural references. She told both of us we’d have five or six children. (Neither of us ever had one.)
She turned me into a newt (although I got better). They should check her weight against that of water fowl.
I'll have to admit the thought did occur...
So did my ex-wife but you still can't just shoot them.
“...call me now!”
Oops...
this reader was oerating from her own home, not a storefront.
that means the guy was refered to her.
We have one nearby (with the neon palm outside) who has been there for at least 40 years, and probably now a second generation. It’s a private home, and I gather that most people who go there just saw it from the road.
The gypsy I went to was in a small storefront with nothing to distinguish it. They would come into an area and rent a space, hand out their cards at shopping center parking lots, and wait for the calls.
That works better as a joke.
I searched and both newt and mute come up, so there's some confusion.
It’s like an x-files episode.
If he thought she was a witch, why did he become her customer?
Reminds me of some gypsy girl who wanted to read my palm when I was in Hawaii fifty three years ago.
She took my palm, put her other hand in it, then looked me in the eye and told my fortune and my past, never looking at my palm.
She was 100% WRONG! Then she tried to bless my money and take some of it. I just laughed and said “NO”.
She was a good looker that would rate the “Not Guilty” penalty.
(with the neon palm outside)
I remember one outside Roswell NM back fifty five years ago. It took a while but the cops busted her when she tried to convince a client his money was cursed and had to be burned.
She took his money, put it in a sack, the palmed it and replaced it with fake money which she started to burn when busted.
A common fortune telling scam back then, probably still is today.
I suppose a bad review in Yelp just wasn’t enough.
Its sad knowing where some people went to after death
What kind of Tarot card reader doesn’t see something like that coming?
