I remember passing the National Mall in Washington, D.C. last September where small white flags stuck up from the ground almost as far as I could see. On many of the flags were the names of loved ones lost in the pandemic. At that time, at least 673,484 people had died from COVID-19 in the United States.
Today, just seven months later, that number has nearly doubled. Now, 1 million people in the United States have been lost to COVID-19. About 24 million more people are currently suffering from long COVID, which created at least 1.2 million disabled adults in 2021 compared with the year prior. More than 200,000 children have lost a primary parent or caregiver to COVID-19. It’s a somber day and one that must be used to catalyze a Congress that has become anesthetized to so much illness and pain.

Seems very inflated.
Somehow the verbiage has changed over the months: died “with” COVID I believe those numbers are referring to. Died “of” COVID is quite different.
Well I think the most people in Congress the death rates aren’t quite high enough so they have to huddle together in a good old fashion football huddle and figure out how to make more happen.
Anybody can call a death CoupFlu related.
The death certificate doesn’t even have to be amended if the death is called coof related after the fact.
The stats are crap.
Including the death stats.
The vast majority of “COVID deaths” had co-morbidities. In one of the mountain towns the co-morbidity was a fatal gunshot. But, it was counted as a COVID death.
Because it is. The flu disappeared. Pneumonia disappeared. Old age/natural causes disappeared. If you died of something else, but tested positive, it was somehow Covid.
Congress needs to clean up the CDC/NIH/NAISD.

I think there are deaths attributed that were never tested included in the total.

I caught the end of NBC Nightly News so I could catch the beginning of my local news. It was like they were having a wake. I didn’t realize why they were making such a big deal of the death virus until they flashed the number “1,000,000.”
We went from 34,000,000 cases of influenza the year before Covid to 7,000 cases the next year.
We know the PCR test didn’t differentiate between Covid and influenza and hospitals got paid mega-bucks for a Covid Dx.
It’s not hard to figure this one out.

I just saw on Facebook that two women from my high school class just died a few weeks from each other. 52-53 years old. One according to her obit was a total fitness freak and the other was a health care worker. I don’t know how they died but it makes me wonder.
