Polls are closing in Ohio as Democrats and Republicans anxiously await the results of key primaries in a state that will likely prove pivotal in November’s midterms.
For Republicans, the Tuesday primaries in Ohio are dominated by the Senate nominating contest. Former President Trump, who remains the most popular figure within the modern GOP, has endorsed author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance in the race, though Vance faces a crowded field of rivals, almost all of whom have campaigned as Trump acolytes.

Rooting all the way for Vance mainly because Trump endorsed him and it is more important at this point for Trump not to be seen as weak.
No need to apologize. :-)
Vance also has some public appeal; Mandel threw the last Senate election away to that leftist Sherrod Brown in the final week; Dolan has encouraged Dems to vote in the Republican primary; Timken is good but can’t get 10 percent of the R vote. Vance is now pulling away and is going to win this by 8-10 percentage points in my guesstimate. He will be the strongest candidate to defeat the phony blue collar moderate, Ryan, who almost never dissents from his fraudulent president.
Wildcat is from McConnell’s State of Kentucky
I don’t really trust either of them, but Mandel is outwardly creepy.
With 31 percent of the R vote in, Vance is pulling away:
JD Vance 71,462 29.26%
Josh Mandel 57,114 23.38%
Matt Dolan 54,427 22.28%
Mike Gibbons 32,683 13.38%
Jane Timken 20,586 8.43%
Truth Social has Vance as projected winner just now
Yep, that was big one.
Definitely trending the right way now.
Why yes, I am from Kentucky.
And Trump still endorsed Vance in Ohio for Senate and didn't endorse in the Ohio governor's race. :-)
You don’t want Nan Whaley.

Dolan is winning Cuyahoga by a very wide margin and only 15% is in - and that’s a very populous county.
If Vance’s statewide lead holds as more of Cuyahoga comes in that would be the last major threat to him being overtaken.

Now 28% in in Cuyhoga, and Dolan still leads there but now by 15% and not 20%+ before with Vance gaining. So if Vance is gaining there, you can say for Dolan “his back is to the wall, his shirt tail’s on fire and the bill collector is at the door.”

I’ve seen enough: J.D. Vance (R) wins the Republican nomination for #OHSEN and will face Tim Ryan (D) in the fall.
